In the dramatically rapid multicultural age, in order to solve various problems in Korea, it is necessary for native citizens in Korea to improve their multicultural acceptability. According to the investigation of multicultural acceptability index of ordinary people by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, people who had multicultural education showed very higher multicultural acceptability. But for factors of 'expectation for one-directional assimilation' and 'dual assessment' showed low index of multicultural acceptability. Therefore, it reveals that advanced curriculums and contents are required, that chances for ordinary people to have multicultural education should be extended, and that frequency of education and training should be increased. The civil society movements in Korea are in the important point for civil participation and cooperation, starting as small communities(small groups) and grass democracy, one of conversions of new civil society movements. Abstract PDF
In this article we tried to articulate philosophical Problems about our multicultural education faced with multicultural phenomenon. "Multiculture" Phenomenon is a one comes from globalisation. Most of the existing multicultural pedagogy was mostly descriptive works on the current multicultural phenomenon. So, through the critical evalutation of existing three models of multicultural phenomenon, it is inevitable to make sure philosophical basis of multicultural pedagogy. In general, the academic approach to multicultural phenomena can be divided into three broad categories. First, assimilationism emphasizes the adaptation of foreigners to mainstream culture. The second is integrationism. It acknowledges the specificity of minority culture, but it pursues integration into the mainstream society fundamentally. Finally, multiculturalism pursues the coexistence of various races and cultures by emphasizing ethnic diversity. This article critically evaluates these three models by looking at the "Interculturalism" that is emerging in German society today. In addition, we pointed out that this interculturalism should be used as a critical measure of multicultural policy in Korea and as a philosophical foundation of multicultural pedagogy in the future. Future multicultural education philosophy should be reciprocal comprehensive cultural discourse.

The purpose of this study is to compare the utilization of migrant workers in Japan, which has entered the aged society in the world first and the migrant workers in the two countries with the rapid pace of aging, in order to find out how to utilize migrant workers, which is an important factor in multicultural society. By analyzing the results of this study, we will find out how to utilize migrant workers in the aging society of Korea. Through this comparison, we have drawn out the implications of Korea through the case of Japan through the comparative examples of how the two countries seek to utilize the migrant workers. In addition, by studying examples of various uses of migrant workers in Japan, it is expected that it will contribute as a basic data for the harmonious coexistence of a successful aged society and a multicultural society in the next wave of multiculturalism in Korea. Finally, in the coming aging society, it should be fostered at the national level in order to create new jobs and enhance the capacity of high-quality human resources. In the global era where aged society and multicultural society coexist, migrant workers should seek change in employment recognition, institutional support, welfare policy, education, diverse social integration, and national policies and plans. This is expected to be a great roadmap for South Korea as a roadmap to prepare for the utilization of new migrant workers through their lack of labor force in multicultural society.
