    Ji-in Kang | 2022, 10() | pp.1~29 | number of Cited : 2
    Abstract PDF
    Recently, Korea has actively entered the global society and has rapidly become globalized in the domestic society. The K-pop(Korean pop) has evolved into the third generation called K-Culture (Korean culture), which has expanded to many countries around the world, especially China and Southeast Asia. As a result, many foreign learners from various countries are flowing in to learn Korean language and culture. Meanwhile the number of marriage immigrants increased steadily every year, in which the majority of them are Chinese. Women marriage immigrants who married Korean spouses and settled in Korea are in a different position compare to foreign students and migrant workers. They face the task of learning not only Korean language, but also lifestyle and culture. Also as members of the families, they must simultaneously play various roles such as spouses, mothers, and daughters-in-law. In addition, Korean Family Culture is different from it in their own countries. Therefore Korean Family culture is an important element that female marriage immigrants must learn, in order to help live a stable life and build a healthy family. It is necessary not only to learn Korean, but also to understand each other's culture, meanwhile to acknowledge the difference from the culture of the mother country. Under this background, this paper suggested how to prepare a Korean family culture education plan by analyzing the results based on in-depth interviews with advanced Chinese learners. In addition, Korean cultural education teaching and learning methods were presented utilizing the program 『Multicultural Gobuyeoljeon』.

    Junsung Ki , Kim, min-su | 2022, 10() | pp.65~85 | number of Cited : 0
    Abstract PDF
    Chapters 1 and 2 of this study describe the definitions and characteristics of the Fourth Industrial Era and its major technologies used in the field of foreign language education. Chapter 3 discusses the ideal quality of Korean language teachers and the role they should play in the Fourth Industrial Era. Moreover, support measures to prevent alienation from new technologies and to help improve the quality of teachers are suggested. The overall study is summarized as follows. One of the foremost qualities that Korean language teachers in the Fourth Industrial Era should acquire is Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), which enables Korean language education using new technologies. Another important quality of teachers is “to constantly research technologies that can be used in class.” Given the rapid pace of technological advancement, Korean language teachers must also constantly learn to keep pace with technological advances. Next, teachers in the Fourth Industrial Era should try to maximize the positive impact of new technologies in the Fourth Industrial Era and accommodate them in classrooms. Simultaneously, it is important to overcome the negative impact of new technologies on education. Institutionally, the curriculum for training Korean language teachers should be improved to reflect the Fourth Industrial Revolution Era. This is because even if there are VR and AR devices in the classroom, it is useless if teachers cannot use them proficiently. Finally, government agencies, local governments, and others should pay attention to marriage immigrants and their multicultural families and support them so that they do not experience technological alienation.

    OH HYOUN SUK | 2022, 10() | pp.129~154 | number of Cited : 0
    Abstract PDF
    The purpose of this study is to analyze the essays of Zainichi Korean Hansen people and to identify the discrimination they suffered. The Zainichi Korean Hansen people are Korean people who have taken root in the Korean peninsula and have developed Hansen's disease in Japan. In particular, the term Korean or Chosun is implied in the meaning of following South Korea or North Korea, so this paper intends to use the term Zainichi Korean. The Zainichi Korean Hansen people published their first and second book in 1961 and 1962; these books were published in 1986 as “remote islands” in Korea. The book contains the life of a living in Zainichi Korean Hansen people in Japanese Hansen camp. In the 1950s, Zainichi Korean Hansen people were excluded from the pension system due to the revision of the National Pension Act in Japan, This is because the nationality of Zainichi Korean was not Japanese. In addition, Zainichi Korean Hansen people often maintained their nationality, not South Korean nationality or North Korean nationality. However, because the country of Joseon was already a country that disappeared from the earth through the Japanese colonial period, they were close to an non-national. The Japanese government did not mean to protect the existence of the non-nationals or to give pensions. The revision of the National Pension Act in Japan was an opportunity for Zainichi Korean Hansen people to reimprint their nationality. In the Japanese Hansen camps, discrimination against Zainichi Korean Hansen people worked in a more covert way. On the surface, all Hansen’s people accepted under the principle of a good love affair were equal. Like other East Asian countries, Japan’s Hansen policies were centered on isolation and exclusion, so Hansen people’s sanatorium were forced to help each other. However, when the problem occurred, discrimination against Zainichi Korean Hansen people became a surface. In the end, it was confirmed through this study that Zainichi Korean Hansen people lived as Hansen and living a life as a colonial people who were discriminated against.

Using the Delphi survey, this study analyzes the areas of collaboration structure, footing, and performance-based compensation of the MIPC and suggests a way to activate the center's collaboration system. Based on the result of Delphi survey, this study attempted the following policy suggestions. In order to promote short-term collaboration, there must first be a common vision and goal setting in terms of a collaboration structure that can be implemented at the practical level without organizational and institutional changes, and information desk must be operated practically. Second, in terms of the collaboration structure, it is necessary to seek practical collaboration reinforcement through agenda setting. In order to promote mid- to long-term collaboration, it is necessary to first reorganize the law for effective center operation and management, and to strengthen the management responsibility and authority of local governments by proposing policies that consider both the collaboration basis and the collaboration reward system. Second, in terms of the collaborative structure, a demand survey should be conducted.
