    Chuang-tzu(莊子)’s Writing and Ecological Imagination

    Human beings continuously form and expand the relationship with others not because they are biological beings but because they are socio-cultural beings. In the ecosystem of the earth on which we live, the awareness of life is also coupled with the relationship between human and human and the relationship between human and non-human. This paper focuses on ‘relationship’ in the humanities study. Nowadays when human alienation and ecological unequal problem are raised urgently with the rapid development of science and technology, I analyze the meaning and examine the implications for the present with the ecological consideration through the research on Chuang-tzu(莊子)’s writing. Furthermore, I would like to escape from anthropocentric values and expand the horizon of the awareness of contemporary people to the values of the community of life in the systematic relationship with others. Nature is not an object to develop or to conquer but the root of life and the order of universe including human beings. We can seek the solidarity with nature by deriving the value conversion to the position of the community of life escaping from the intellectual prejudice. Because human beings are beings to change the society and to create new values with their own will. In this paper, I examined three issues on the ecological imaginations inherent in the Chuang-tzu(莊子)’s writing, paying attention to ‘relationship’. The writing of ‘Equal(平)’ is the understanding of the value of life and the method of existence of the individual. The writing of ‘Communication(通)’ is the understanding of the expansion of life with an acknowledgement the continuity or multiplicity of life. The writing of ‘Enjoyment(遊)’ is the way of enjoying life and the ideal status of improving the individual with working of life in harmony. The research on the issue of the subject and the object and the issue on the alienation and the coexistence reminds the contemporary people of the value of ecological coexistence and gives the opportunity for an humanistic alternative of complementary life.

    A Study of Datang San Zang Buddhist Scriptures

    This paper focuses on the narrative structure & content analysis of Datang San Zang Buddhist Scriptures text. We can see the value and character of this book from this study. The first is mostly the morphologic theory associated with the format and genre of the epic tale. I have made a clear analysis of the difference between poetry as a style generally referred to in Chinese literature. And I analyzed where the ‘說经’ belongs among the ‘說話四家’ classified by the storytellers of the Song Dynasty. In particular, I argued my opinion on the problems raised by ‘李時人’ ‘蔡鏡浩’ two scholars by referring to related papers and previous research. Second, I attempted a structural analysis of how the narrative of this book evolved. This book consists of 17 chapters. Chapters 1 through 6 are mainly two characters, ‘Monk Tang’ and ‘Monkey King’. And the story is that Monk Tang overcame his first tribulation with the help of Monkey King. The most notable of the chapters 7 to 13 is that ‘Monk Sha’ appears. ‘Monk Sha’ had an inevitable connection with ‘Monk Tang’ in his previous life. He had eaten Monk Tang in his previous life, and put on a necklace made of skulls. Chapters 14 through 17 primarily describe the process of the monk’s arrival in India and obtaining Buddhist books. In particular, this novel emphasizes the process of obtaining the Original Text of ‘Prajnaparamita-hrdaya-sutra’. I expect that the analysis in this paper will be a good reference for researchers especially in ‘Journey to the West’.

    The Study on Journey to the West of Yuan Zaju - By the Point with the Heroic Mythology by Joseph Cambell

    XuanZang who was monk of Tang dynasty was very famous person. At 7 century XuanZang went to the west to bring Buddihist scripture to the china. He went around over one hundred countries for seventeen years. His miraculous story carried down for long time. Yuan Zaju 「Journey to the West」 was created at these foundation. Joseph Cambell(March 26, 1904 – October 30, 1987) was an American mythologist, writer, and lecturer, best known for his work in comparative mythology and comparative religion. His work covers many aspects of the human experience. Campbell’s magnum opus is his book The Hero with a Thousand Faces (1949), in which he discusses his theory of the journey of the archetypal hero found in world mythologies. Since the book’s publication, Campbell’s theory has been consciously applied by a wide variety of modern writers and artists. In the heroic mythology by Joseph Cambell the first stage is departure. In the Journey to the West of Yuan Zaju the main character Tang Seng went to a royal summons. But his three disciples Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie and Sha heshang at first refuse royal summons. On their ordeal itinerary they depend on assistance of supernatural helper. At Second stage they went through many ordeals. On their ordeal itinerary they depend on assistance of supernatural helper. Third stage is return. Return of hero means rebirth of life. In this respect Journey to the West of Yuan Zaju has color of mythology of rebirth.

    The Problems of Migrant Workers’ Children from the Viewpoint of Children’s Literature

    One cannot realize that the most important part of one’s body is the part that it hurts until one is sick. One of the most important problems of China nowadays can be the problem of migrant workers’ children, very large group of people who are exposed to danger and many difficulties. The problem of migrant workers’ children lies where realistic absurdities of the gap between rich and poor or of the gap between urban and rural area get together, and where post-socialism reveals its ugly nature. This paper attempts to find out how Chinese writers have dealt with the problem of migrant workers’ children. In a tension between autonomous artistic viewpoints and socialist ideology, some writers have advocated and trusted socialist system attempting to give hope to migrant workers’ children. There have been positive ways to look at an urban myth by otherizing migrant workers in the viewpoints of urbanites. There also have been negative ways to see the problems of migrant workers in the viewpoints of children by raising fundamental questions. Some writers have seen the dead-end problems of migrant workers in a self-depreciating way. Migrant workers’ children have been described in a realistic way mostly, however, I hope they can be the characters in fantasy literature which helps them overcome hardships of their lives through experiencing catharsis. I also hope not only children but also adult readers can come across various stories and viewpoints of migrant workers’ children and we can find out better solutions for the problem.

    Another Aspect of the Wang Shuo Novels, a Film “The Dream Factory(甲方乙方)”

    As a popular novelist in 1980s and 1990s, Wang Shuo(王朔) realized that his unique narrative method was an element that becomes a fashion item of the market, and he began making works of high value. “Wanju(頑主)” is a process of revealing the crooked desire of the masses and false cynicism and falsehoods of high‐ranking intellectuals through the eyes of scamps at the lower class in the society where materialism was rampant in the 1980s, and “You Are Not a Snob” is a process of restoring a dream so that they can dream again while the main character scamps flatter these people and disarm people without paying a penny. And the Dream Factory can be summarized as a process of making an unfulfilled dream come true. With the keyword, ‘scamp’ penetrating these three works, starting with “Wanju”, developing the narrative evolved into “You Are Not a Snob(你不是一個俗人)”, and media shifting to the film, The Dream Factory(甲方乙方), the director is Feng Xiaogang(馮小剛), He established himself as a major director by successfully creating the genre of New Year Blockbusters in 1997 with The Dream Factory. This study attempts to examine the evolutionary narrative processes from the crooked desire ―> recovery of dream ―> dream realization to the dramatic ‘discourse’ level of story + event. It can be said that this series of processes will be meaningful in presenting a new perspective by bringing existing literary works into the realm of culture.

    It is undoubtedly correct and necessary for the creation of Chinese mainland film to emphasize the organic unification of artistry and commercial, and the dual construction of social benefits and economic benefits. Even for the film creation of major Asian film countries such as Korea, India, Iran and Vietnam, it has some enlightening significance. Because movies are not main products that have value in use like shoes, it’s cultural value and ideological attachment make it a cultural product that based on large industries, which can appeal to people's mind. Therefore, while taking responsibility for the market, we must have moral and historical responsibility. This article is based on the premise of combing the concept of types and types of Hollywood movies, the development of domestic films types, models and strategies, discriminating and analyzing the artistic and commercial semantics of the film and the theoretical principles of the coexistence of both. Trying to come up with a concept which is a dynamic quantification standard data that is relative, dynamic and operable for commercial and artistic quality of various types of domestic films, to make sure the dynamic balance of the artistic and commercial. And then points out that the film must have artistic scale and the moral bottom line, as well as domestic film type don't break artistic scale and the moral bottom line of artistic and commercial the ratio of the minimum standard of dynamic quantitative data. Aimed at the dilemma of how to focus on the artistic and commercial in the creative practice, the introduction of operational artistic and commercial ratio dynamic quantification standard data should be helpful to the future of film production in Chinese mainland, and even to Asian films that arising or taking off.

    A Study on the Strategy for Cooperative Development of Regional Culture in the Ring Bohai Economic Circle of China

    In pursuing China’s regional development strategy, the Chinese government is looking for a cooperative strategy for local culture. The most representative example is the cooperation development strategy of regional cultural, which is being attempted in the Ring Bohai economic circle, especially Jing-Jin-Ji area. The Ring Bohai economic circle has emerged as a key strategic base for economic development in China in the 21st century. In 2015, the Chinese government is promoting the cooperative development of ing-Jin-Ji area as a national-level strategy and the cooperation development of Regional cultural in Jing-Jin-Ji area. In accordance with the demands of the central government, governments in each region have designed policies that meet the goal of cooperation development of Regional culture in the Jing-Jin-Ji area instead of local cultural policy. And local governments have also established institutional arrangements to ensure policy sustainability. These governments have the responsibility of sharing and free exchange of cultural resources, equal preferential policies for cultural enterprises, cooperation to cultivate cultural manpower, standardization work for integrating cultural markets, joint purchase of local government for cultural services, focused on breaking administrative boundaries and regional protectionism. Of course, there is debate as to whether the cooperative development of inter-regional culture should be promoted by the central government like China and how effective it will be. The competition between Beijing and Tianjin still exists, and how the exchange of cultural resources and people is really fair, how to resolve the cultural gap between existing cities, and the regional cultural characteristics and the identity of local communities based on them And whether they can be protected, these problems are still being raised. However, these experiments in China will have many points to refer to in case of Korea, which has a lot of problems due to the excessive concentration of the metropolitan area.

    A Study on the Chinese Youke’s(游客) Visiting Ban Decision and Prospect to Korea According to the Decision of THAAD Placement on the Korean Peninsula

    In this paper, based on the preset situation of foreign tourists visiting Korea for 40 years, about Chinese youke who visited Korea the most, analyze trend of change before and after THAAD placement decision on the Korean peninsula. On the other hand, after the announcement of the THAAD placement, the Chinese government’s decision to ban visiting Korea. This will be examined in detail. Also, in China’s retaliation against Japan, will also look at the prospects for the Korean tourism industry. Therefore, in addition to providing objective utilization data, contribute to the policy and direction of the Korean tourism industry in accordance with the THAAD retaliation. China eventually overtake Japan in 2013, THAAD placement was decided in July 2016, but until October 2017, China is the largest country to visit Korea. It also opened a new era in the Korean tourism industry by February 2017. In December 2016, China’s ‘Korea wave Prohibition Order’ has become a serious issue. However, the order to ban the visits to Korea began in March 2017. But in March, April until October, China is still Korea’s largest visitor. But with the THAAD revenge of China, Korea’s exports decreased by 33.7%, GDP decreased by 2.08%. The fact that the United States is included as a subject is a difficult problem to solve. Therefore, the development of the Korean tourism industry, where the Korean tourism industry can flourish despite the political problems, remains a top priority. But now the largest consumer market in the world is China. Can not neglect a Chinese youke’s. Therefore, it should be noted that it is possible to improve Korea-China relations under the Korean ‘Sambul policy’.
