/ From the uniqueness of the Chinese language and its teaching method in Hong Kong SAR this article analyzes and compares the characteristics and weaknesses of different kinds of influential Chinese Pinyin teaching methods it summarizes the essence of the fanqie tradition and compares the dialectal syllabic distinction between Chinese dialects and Putonghua which illustrates that learning Chinese pinyin in the dialect-speaking areas should target at the characteristics of the dialect pronunciation itself Based on this fact
