AB - 本人圍繞着朝鮮時期的諺解本不直譯賓語`之`字而千篇一律地看作`語助辭`的問題, 針對韓中兩國的有關`之`字的解釋進行了分析性探討, 其主要內容與含意如下四點 : 第一, `之`字用作虛詞時, 其用法非常靈活. 中國人對虛詞早就從漢初引起了注意, 幷歷來進行了探入的硏究, 與此同時對`之`字亦作出了細心解釋, 得出了相當的成果. 通過這樣的成果, 特別《論語》原文與宋代以前的主要注解本如《論語注疏》, 《論語集注》中的흔多例證, 本人認爲, `之`字的用法本來韓中兩國都通通解釋爲虛詞, 當作`語助辭`, 只是在受到英美西方國家的語法書籍的影響以後, 才開始解釋爲`代詞, 賓語`的看法, 有待進一步探討. 不過在中國受到英美等西方國家的語法書籍的影響以後, 將`之`字解釋爲`代詞, 賓語`的傾向, 越來越明顯, 這也是分明事實. 第二, 雖說`訓民正音`創製以前, 漢子當作國字, 所以當時的韓國使用文語文與中國無區別, 其文章水準也達道相當高度. 但嚴格來講, 文語作爲外來語言, 對此種語文進行的深入的考査不能不說是흔不容易, 當時的學者也흔可能竝沒有感覺到細心考査的必要性. 因而只能限於尊重中國對之的早期解釋, 把《詩經·關雎》的"左右流之", "寤寐求之"的"之"看成`語助辭`. 這點標誌着韓國在受用中國文化上的一個主要特徵. 與後來中國學者對虛詞的硏究逾來逾重視, 深化終而明瞭的狀況形成明顯對照. 第三, 在解釋儒家經典上, 孔頹達第一次提出了將`之`字看成`語助辭`的說法, 因此朝鮮時期儒學者或儒臣們進行諺解工作時, 흔可能非常尊重唐代著名儒臣孔氏的見解. 同時他們的主要關心不在於對`之`字等虛詞加以細致的解釋, 而片面集中在傳達經典的大義所在. 第四, 我們通過中國歷代學者對以虛詞爲主的傳統漢語語法硏究的歷史, 得知`之`字在文語文中有多種複雜的語法功能, 所以對`之`字要進行細心的分析, 才可以正確淸楚地理解整篇文章的思想內容. 把`之`字通通看成`語助辭`, 一律不作飜譯未免太籠統之弊, 也不是實事求是的態度. 最後, 本人希望以後對在韓國方面的歷代虛詞硏究成果與文言文文法的專著, 要充分加以注意, 竝進行深入硏究. 與此同時, 還需要, 除了經典的諺解以外, 對中國詩歌或小說等文學作品的諺解, 赤加以細心考査. 這樣我們才對韓中兩國`之`字的解釋上的異同, 可以達到比較完整的認識.
