Until now a study on politics process of the ruling class in middle Silla period has focused on the conflict between king and novel class. But I have emphasized on the welfare and peace for state. In this point of view, what Sa Ryun(舍輪), the second son of King Jin Hung(眞興王) took the throne is due to King Jin Hung’s help. In addition, Sa Ryun had a legitimacy of succession to the throne. And Geo Chill Boo(居柒夫) who controlled politics on King Jin Ji(眞智王) era was a favorite retainer of King Jin Hung. So he could work as a assistance of King Jin Ji. Despite of Sang dae dung(上大等) Geo Chill Boo’s help, King Jin Ji who was lack of political ability was dethroned by the noble(國人) because of incompetency and lewdness(政亂荒淫). After the dethrone of King Jin Ji, Baek Jeong(白淨), grandson of King Jin Jj acceded to the throne as King Jin Pyeong(眞平王). This work has understood as a challenge of royal authority. But this work can be understood as achievement of anti-King Jin Ji powers for the public peace. So in spite of young King Jin Pyeong’s throne, King Jin Pyeong could reinforce his power and build new government office on the basis of his supporters. The study on the development of politics need approach of the various viewpoint in middle Silla period. Through this study, we can understand this period.

Maitreya(彌勒) was believed since the reign of King Beopheung(法興王) when Buddhism was officially accepted but it was from King Jinheung(眞興王) that the faith was regularly established and from King Jinji(眞智王) that it was transmitted in recording. The figure involved with faith in Maitreya in the reign of King Jinji is Jinjasa(眞慈師). he believed in Maitreya which had a character of traditional faith(傳統信仰). He recommended Misirang(未尸郞) as a Maitreya disciple to King Jinji and made him an elite youth of Hwarangdo(花郞徒). Misirang has a character of traditional faith, his being expressed as Maitreya indicatesthattraditionalfaithinfusedintoBuddhism.However,Misirang becoming an elite youth complained of the politics of King Jinpyeong(眞平王) and disappeared. Maitreya becoming popular in the reign of King Jinji resulted from trying to consolidate royal powers. In this process, King Jinji appointed Buddhist priests like Jinjasa, Bojang(寶藏) and Hyejang(慧藏) and pushed for the policies solidifying royal powers with a help of Buddhist influence.
