    A Study on the Remodeling of General Hospitals in Consideration fo Healing Environmental Elements

    This study aims to propose planning guides and general suggestions in the remodeling of general hospitals. Among the many goals in the hospital remodeling, this study focuses on the enhancing the 'healing environment' to existing building. Accordingly this study analyzes design criteria for 'healing environment' through the case study of 'A' hospital which has been remodeled recently, and compares those criteria with actual execution.

    Recently, as the population of the elderly rapidly increases, the number of the special care facility for the elderly is a big social issue. The services for the elderly are divided two way. One is a facility care. the other is an in-home care. In-home care(day care, short stay care, home help) facility for the elderly in seoul are insufficient now. So this study quantitatively estimate In-home care facility needed in seoul in 2007, 2012 and 2017, propose a arrangement of these facility in seoul.

    A study on the Air Ventilation System in Apartment Housesas as a Health Concept

    The purpose of this study is to analyze the air ventilation system in apartment houses focused on the air circulation and pilotis. The air ventilation system is used with the data which were obtained by the environmental health, urban climate, air pollution, ventilation path. The architectural element was pilotis concept connected with piloti ratio, piloti position and piloti type. The summaries of this study were as follows; 1) the well-being apartment concept, 2) the heat island phenomenon, 3) the oxygen density of air, 4) the definition of ventilation path, 5) the pilotis connected with residential environment improvement. In addition, the detailded case study to the air ventilation system in apartment houses be needed.

    A Case Study of Hospital Design Corresponding to Substance of Hospital Components

    This thesis is a case study of hospital design corresponding to substance of hospital components. The substance of each divisions and functional elements of hospital architecture is analyzed and the appropriate forms corresponding to each substance are tried in design. The researcher is convinced, that healthcare facilities for patients must be differently designed from post-modernism or deconstructivism. He suggests new design method in designing of jeju university hospital competition

    A study on the Residential Space Organization of the Elderly Care Facilities

    Recently the elderly care facilities have increased according to the increase in the needs of the elderly care. However architectural studies of elderly facilities still leave much to be desired. The results of this thesis are as follows 1) There are three types of residential unit for elderly care facility such as the linear-type, and loop-type, the hall-type. 2) In the elderly care facilities, staffs' affairs are not separated distinctively, instead all of them join the service for the elders. 3)Since both case being easy and being difficult to find a way for elders are decided by the type of the building, space organization should be planned to be recognized the way for elders and organized straightly with joint area between buildings. This study analyzes the effects of the movement and the moving line of elders and staffs for the estimation of each residential space unit. The purpose of this study is to propose residential space organization of the elderly care facilities.

    A study on the Evaluation of Sanitary Arrangements for the Disabled Person in University

    The sanitary arrangements and Toilets are very important for a barrier-free environment of university education. this paper try to provide basic evaluation of the sanitary arrangements for disabled person in university. To accomplish this purpose this study has analyzed with questionnaire quantitatively and qualitatively the 188 universities. As the result, from the barrier-free environmental evaluation of the sanitary arrangements, the large-scale university and the university with special admission rules for the disabled person are highly evaluated, while the small-scale university and the university without special admission rules are done low
