A Study on the design of separation force measuring system for improvement of semiconductor productivity

    Park kun jong | 2017, 22(10) | pp.1~7 | number of Cited : 0
    Abstract PDF
In this paper, the separation force measuring system is developed. The separation force aries due to adhesive strength between semiconductor epoxy molding compound(EMC) and the metal plate in semiconductor formed plate. In general, when removing the metal plate in semiconductor formed plate from semiconductor epoxy molding compound, excessive strength can result in a increase in semiconductor defect rates, or conversely, if too little force is exerted on the metal plate in semiconductor formed plate, the semiconductor production rates can decrease. In this study, the design criteria for the selection of the AC servo motor, the role of the ball screw, the relationship between the load cell and the ball screw, and the rate of deceleration are given. In addition, minimizing the reject rate of semiconductors and maximizing the semiconductor production rate are achieved through the standardization of the collected separation force data measured by the proposed system.

    Ji-Hyeon Yang , Byung-In Choi , Hee Duk Park and 2 other persons | 2017, 22(10) | pp.27~34 | number of Cited : 0
    Abstract PDF
In this paper, we propose a novel radiometric calibration method which can effectively compensate the nonlinearity of the detector for hyper-spectral camera. In general, the detector of hyper-spectral camera can produce nonlinear output depending on radiance and integral time. The conventional radiometric calibration methods extract the imprecise radiance profile from the spectral profile of the target due to this nonlinearity. In our proposed method, we use a quadratic equation instead of a linear equation to describe the relation between output of detector and radiance. Then, we use a fractional function to compensate variation of integration time. Thus, our proposed method can extract more precise spectral profile of radiance than conventional radiometric calibration method.

    Abstract PDF
In this paper, we proposes a multi-ring based mobile sink location scheme for solar-powered wireless sensor network (WSN). The proposed scheme maintains the multi-rings in which nodes keep the current location of sink node. With the help of nodes in multi-rings, each node can locate the sink node efficiently with low-overhead. Moreover, because our scheme utilizes only surplus energy of a node, it can maintain multiple rings without degrading any performance of each node. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme shows much better latency and scalability with lower energy-consumption than the existing single-ring based scheme.

Implementation of Audio Equalization in Video-on-Demand Broadcast Content

    Myung-Kyu Kwon | 2017, 22(10) | pp.63~71 | number of Cited : 0
    Abstract PDF
In this paper, we develop the system for audio volume equalization of video on demand(VoD) content and propose the solution for it. In recent years, there has been a steady increase in the number of VoD users in addition to linear channels. However, viewers ought to sit in an uncomfortable way, adjusting the volume intermittently while they are broadcasted. Sudden changes of volume occur between the broadcasting channels, the programs from the co-channel, or the linear channels and the VoDs. Especially, upsurged dissatisfaction from the televiewers has been found due to the unequalized volume when shifting between the linear channel and the VoD. In order to solve this problem, multilateral efforts were put forth, such as a system for keeping the volume at a certain level in digital broadcasting program has been legislated domestically. It leads success in equalizing linear channel volume. On contrary, too little notice has been taken for distorted volume problem of video on demand(VoD) content. In this paper, we developed and applied the volume equalization system into VoD content to achieve uniformization, a similar condition with linear channel(–24LKFS). This suggestion helped uneven current of volume which was in the stage –16 ~ -20LKFS to stable condition by lowering into the stage of –24LKFS. It also brought 20% increase in perspective of volume quality satisfaction level.

    Koohong Kang , Park Taekeun , Daesung Moon | 2017, 22(10) | pp.83~92 | number of Cited : 3
    Abstract PDF
Reconnaissance is performed gathering information from a series of scanning probes where the objective is to identify attributes of target hosts. Network reconnaissance of IP addresses and ports is prerequisite to various cyber attacks. In order to increase the attacker’s workload and to break the attack kill chain, a few proactive techniques based on the network-based moving target defense (NMTD) paradigm, referred to as IP address mutation/randomization, have been presented. However, there are no commercial or trial systems deployed in real networks. In this paper, we propose a threat model and the request for requirements for developing NMTD techniques. For this purpose, we first examine the challenging problems in the NMTD mechanisms that were proposed for the legacy TCP/IP network. Secondly, we present a threat model in terms of attacker’s intelligence, the intended information scope, and the attacker’s location. Lastly, we provide seven basic requirements to develop an NMTD mechanism for the legacy TCP/IP network: 1) end-host address mutation, 2) post tracking, 3) address mutation unit, 4) service transparency, 5) name and address access, 6) adaptive defense, and 7) controller operation. We believe that this paper gives some insight into how to design and implement a new NMTD mechanism that would be deployable in real network.

Parallel Machine Scheduling Considering the Moving Time of Multiple Servers

    Kyun Rak Chong | 2017, 22(10) | pp.101~107 | number of Cited : 0
    Abstract PDF
In this paper, we study the problem of parallel machine scheduling considering the moving time of multiple servers. The parallel machine scheduling is to assign jobs to parallel machines so that the total completion time(makespan) is minimized. Each job has a setup phase, a processing phase and a removal phase. A processing phase is performed by a parallel machine alone while a setup phase and a removal phase are performed by both a server and a parallel machine simultaneously. A server is needed to move to a parallel machine for a setup phase and a removal phase. But previous researches have been done under the assumption that the server moving time is zero. In this study we have proposed an efficient algorithm for the problem of parallel machine scheduling considering multiple server moving time. We also have investigated experimentally how the number of servers and the server moving time affect the total completion time.

    Abstract PDF
In this paper, we propose a multi-label classification method in which multi-label classification estimation techniques are applied to resolving location prediction problem. Most of previous studies related to location prediction have focused on the use of single-label classification by using contextual information such as user’s movement paths, demographic information, etc. However, in this paper, we focused on the case where users are free to visit multiple locations, forcing decision-makers to use multi-labeled dataset. By using 2373 contextual dataset which was compiled from college students, we have obtained the best results with classifiers such as bagging, random subspace, and decision tree with the multi-label classification estimation methods like binary relevance(BR), binary pairwise classification (PW).

    Gu hyung keun | 2017, 22(10) | pp.151~157 | number of Cited : 0
    Abstract PDF
In the case of uploading privacy information of an information owner in the Internet, the information owner may want to deliver the privacy information itself or remove such information from the search list in order to prevent third parties from accessing the privacy information of the information owner. Such a right to be forgotten may collide with the freedom of expression of a third party. The right to be forgotten, which originates from the self-determination right on privacy information based on Article 10 and 17 of the Constitution and the freedom of expression, which is based on Article 21 thereof are all relative basic rights and are both limited by Item 2 under Article 37 of the same law, which is the general limitation provision for the basic rights. Therefore, when the right to be forgotten and the freedom of expression collides, it is not possible to give priority to one of the those unilaterally. It depends on the nature of the case at hand to find a natural balance for the harmonious solution for both parties. The criteria can be the sensitivity to the privacy of the information owner caused by the disclose of the privacy information, the public benefits such information may serve, the social common good that could be expected by the disclosure of the privacy information and the damages suffered in terms of the personal interest caused by the disclosure of the information, in a comprehensive manner.

Relationship between the leadership style and organizational effectiveness : Job crafting mediation effect

    Sang-Young Lee , HaeSool Yang | 2017, 22(10) | pp.167~177 | number of Cited : 3
    Abstract PDF
In this paper, we propose the role of job crafting in the relationship between leadership and organizational effectiveness in voluntarily carrying out each member’s assigned tasks. This study surveyed the manufacturing, construction, service industries in Seoul and Gyeonggi province, identified the type of leadership they recognized, and empirically analyzed the organizational effectiveness of leadership. The purpose of this paper is to grasp the types of leadership acknowledged by the industry of manufacturing, construction, and service, and also to empirically analyze the organizational effectiveness of the leadership. The study measures the organizational effectiveness in terms of the job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and organizational citizenship behavior while classifying the leadership into coaching leadership, transformational leadership, and sensible leadership. In addition, the strictness of the analysis is imposed by estimating the simple least square model and ranking probit model. The results of the least square model is summarized as the following. Regardless of the different defining terms of organizational effectiveness, transformational leadership was shown to have the greatest organizational effectiveness. Sensible leadership positively effected job satisfaction whereas coaching leadership positively effected job satisfaction and organizational effectiveness. Compared to transformational leadership and coaching leadership, the impact of the sensible leadership was very much limited. The result of the ranking probit model is summarized as the following. First, sensible leadership had a positive impact on the member’s job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Second, regarding the organizational citizenship behavior, coaching leadership showed greater impact than transformational leadership. This results contradicts the results from the simple least square model. If similar studies were to be conducted in the future, two models and the results must be compared. Third, as the leadership score increases by 1 point, there is greater possibility of having more than 4 points for all job satisfaction, organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior. Lastly, the analysis proves that job crafting has the mediation effect between the leadership and organizational effectiveness.
