    Performance Analysis of Adaptive Partition Cache Replacement using Various Monitoring Ratios for Non-volatile Memory Systems

    In this paper, we propose an adaptive partition cache replacement policy and evaluate the performance of our scheme using various monitoring ratios to help lifetime extension of non-volatile main memory systems without performance degradation. The proposal combines conventional LRU (Least Recently Used) replacement policy and Early Eviction Zone (E2Z), which considers a dirty bit as well as LRU bits to select a candidate block. In particular, this paper shows the performance of non-volatile memory using various monitoring ratios and determines optimized monitoring ratio and partition size of E2Z for reducing the number of writebacks using cache hit counter logic and hit predictor. In the experiment evaluation, we showed that 1:128 combination provided the best results of writebacks and runtime, in terms of performance and complexity trade-off relation, and our proposal yielded up to 42% reduction of writebacks, compared with others.

    In this paper, we propose wide range of categorizes Artificial Intelligence technology as Learning, Inference, and Cognitive. Also, it analyzes 758 cases of open patents. For an analysis, target technologies were selected and categorized into specific areas to collect information about the patents. After removing noise, the patent information for each technology such as patent assignees and IPC code, was analyzed to evaluate the maturity of technology, the way ahead for research and development and the trends in core technology. This research presents directions of Artificial intelligence technology research and trend analysis of core Artificial Intelligent technology using quantitative analysis of patent information. Also Artificial intelligence technology requires technological development necessity through close cooperation in diverse fields.

    Data Mining Approach to Predicting Serial Publication Periods and Mobile Gamification Likelihood for Webtoon Contents

    This paper proposes data mining models relevant to the serial publication periods and mobile gamification likelihood of webtoon contents which were either serialized or completed in <Naver Webtoon> platform. The size of the cartoon industry including webtoon takes merely 1% of the total entertainment contents industry in Korea. However, the significance of webtoon business is rapidly growing because its intellectual property can be easily used as an effective OSMU (One Source Multi-Use) vehicle for multiple types of contents such as movie, drama, game, and character-related merchandising. We suggested a set of data mining classifiers that are deemed suitable to provide prediction models for serial publication periods and mobile gamification likelihood for the sake of webtoon contents. As a result, the balanced accuracies are respectively recorded as 85.0% and 59.0%, from the two models.

    Relationships Among User Group, Gender and Self-disclosure in Social Media

    In recent years the privacy issue on social media is often being discussed. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationships among user gender, user group according to user activity level (highly active vs less active) and self-disclosure in social media. We collected a total of 180 million tweets issued by 13 million twitter users for 12 months and investigated attributes of tweet (user's profile, profile image, description, geographic information, URL) which are related to self-disclosure and boundary impermeability. The results show there are significant (p<0.001) interactions between user gender, user group and each attribute of tweet that are related to self-disclosure and show that the patterns of self-disclosure are different across attributes. The results also show that the mean self-disclosure scores and boundary impermeability of top 10% highly active users are significantly higher than other less active users for all genders.

    Fake Iris Image Detection based on Watermark

    In this paper, we propose a describes how to detect a false iris image by inserting watermark into a iris image. The existing method, which inserts the watermark into the entire iris image to detect a fake iris, has a problem that can evade it by segmenting iris region of an iris image. The purpose of overcoming the problem, this paper proposes a new fake iris detection technique based on digital watermark. It first searches a central point of an iris image, divide the image into blocks with respect to the point. executes Discrete Cosine Transform, inserts watermark into the blocks, and then verifies an iris image using NC(Normalized Correlation). In the experiments, we confirm the robustness for attacks – crop and JPEG.

    Utilization of Computer Pointing Game for Improving Visual Perception Ability of Children with Severe Intellectual Disability

    The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of computer pointing game on the visual perception ability of children with severe intellectual disability. Based on a literature review, we developed a computer pointing game to improve visual perception ability, which consisted of three stages; catching a hamburger, catching a hamburger and a soda, and catching various foods. At each stage, different instructional models were applied by difficulty level of the contents. Experiments were performed among four children with severe intellectual disabilities for three weeks. They belonged to H public school in Kyeonggi, Korea. Their visual perceptions were quantitatively measured four times by utilizing the Korean Developmental Test of Visual Perception tool (K-DTVP-2). For qualitative evaluation, an observation assessment diary was written and analyzed. All four children at the fourth test showed better visual perception ability, compared with the ability at the first test. As a result of the analysis of the observation assessment, they were considered successful in their learning and ordinary life related to visual perception. It can be concluded that the computer pointing game may play a role in helping children with severe intellectual disabilities improve their visual perception ability.

    Image Enhancement Method using Canny Algorithm based on Curvelet Transform

    This paper proposes the efficient preprocessing method based on curvelet transform for edge enhancement in image. The propose method is generated the edge map by using the Canny algorithm to wavelet transform, which is the sub-step of the curvelet transform. In order to improve the part of edge feature, the selective sharpening according to the generate edge map is applied. In experimental result, the propose method achieves that the enhancement of edge feature is better than conventional methods. This leads that peak to signal noise ratio, edge intensity are improvement on average about 1.92, 1.12dB respectively.

    Automatic Individual Tooth Region Separation using Accurate Tooth Curve Detection for Orthodontic Treatment Planning

    In this paper, we propose the automatic detection method for individual region separation using panorama image. Finding areas that contain individual teeth is one of the most important tasks in automating 3D models through individual tooth separation. In the conventional method, the maxillary and mandibular teeth regions are separated using a straight line or a specific CT slide, and the tooth regions are separated using a straight line in the vertical direction. In the conventional method, since the teeth are arranged in a curved shape, there is a problem that each tooth region is incorrectly detected in order to generate an accurate tooth region. This is a major obstacle to automating the creation of individual tooth models. In this study, we propose a method to find the correct tooth curve by using the jawbone curve which is very similar to the tooth curve in order to overcome the problem of finding the area containing the existing tooth. We have proposed a new method to accurately set individual tooth regions using the feature that individual teeth are arranged in a direction similar to the normal direction of the tooth alignment curve. In the proposed method, the maxillary and mandibular teeth can be more precisely separated than the conventional method, and the area including the individual teeth can be accurately set. Experiments using real dental CT images demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method.

    This paper describes a effective information compressor algorithm for the fourth industrial technology. One of the difficult problems for outdoor is to obtain effective updating process of background images. Because input images generally contain the shadows of buildings, trees, moving clouds and other objects, they are changed by lapse of time and variation of illumination. They provide the lowering of performance for surveillance system under outdoor. In this paper, a effective information algorithm for variable environment variable under outdoor is proposed, which apply the Kalman Estimation Modeling and adaptive threshold on pixel level to separate foreground and background images from current input image. In results, the better SNR of about 3dB~5dB and about 10%~25% noise distribution rate in the proposed method. Furthermore, it was showed that the moving objects can be detected on various shadows under outdoor and better result Information.

    Implementation of Android-based Interactive Edutainment Contents Using Authoring Tool Developed for Interactive Animation

    In this paper, we developed an interactive animation authoring tool and developed the Android based interactive edutainment contents. The authoring tool for creating interactive animations developed in this paper is based on a graphical user interface, so users can easily create interactive animations. Interactive animation contents created by this authoring tool can be created as images and xml files so that they can be used directly on mobile devices. In order to increase learning efficiency for children, Android-based interactive edutainment electronic storybooks, which is implemented using this authoring tool, provided a recording function to listen to the parents' voice as well as an interactive action in which the characters move in accordance with the story line. We also provided a STEAM game that combines creativity and imagination with creative science and technology. Therefore, by creating the edutainment contents through the proposed authoring tool for interactive animation, various interactive animation contents could be produced more easily than the code implementation method. Through this study, I hope that it will be helpful for the development of various interactive edutainment contents to provide educational contents considering the quantity and quality to infants.

    Design & Implementation of Enhanced Groupware Messenger

    In this paper, we present some problems with the Groupware Messenger functionality based on dot net 2.0 and implement a new design structure to solve them. They include memory leakage, slow processing, and client window memory crash. These problems resulted in the inconvenience of using instant messaging and the inefficient handling of office tasks. Therefore, in this paper, instant messaging functionality is implemented according to a new design architecture. The new system upgrades dot net 4.5 for clients and deploys the new features based on MQTT for the messenger server. We verify that the memory leak problem and client window memory crash issues have been eliminated on the system with the new messenger functionality. We measure the amount of time it takes to bind data to a set of messages and evaluate the performance, compared to a given system. Through this comparative evaluation, we can see that the new system is more reliable and performing.

    It is not easy for the user to find the information that is appropriate for the user among the suddenly increasing information in recent years. One of the ways to help individuals make decisions in such a lot of information is the recommendation system. Although there are many recommendation methods for such recommendation systems, a representative method is collaborative filtering. In this paper, we design and implement the movie recommendation system on user-based collaborative filtering of apache mahout based on mongoDB. In addition, Pearson correlation coefficient is used as a method of measuring the similarity between users. We evaluate Precision and Recall using the MovieLens 100k dataset for performance evaluation.

    A GUI-based Approach to Software Modularization

    Software maintenance activities have always been important issues in many domains of the software industry. In order to help to resolve this issue, software modularization approaches have been studied to build adequate modules with high cohesion and low coupling; such modular structures can help the comprehension and maintenance of complex systems. In this paper, we propose a GUI-based automated approach for software modularization based on GUI structure analysis. GUI is a principal manner to allow users to access the overall functionalities of a software system; in particular, GUI is closely related to software functionalities, which makes it a promising tool to identify and understand the entire software system. We also implement a software tool to support our approach and evaluate it with a case study using an open source software.

    Customized Resource Collaboration System based on Ontology and User Model in Resource Sharing Environments

    Recently, various wearable personal devices such as a smart watch have been developed and these personal devices are being miniaturized. The user desires to receive new services from personal devices as well as services that have been received from personal computers, anytime and anywhere. However, miniaturization of devices involves constraints on resources such as limited input and output and insufficient power. In order to solve these resource constraints, this paper proposes a resource collaboration system which provides a service by composing sharable resources in the resource sharing environment like IoT. the paper also propose a method to infer and recommend user-customized resources among various sharable resources. For this purpose, the paper defines an ontology for resource inference. This paper also classifies users behavior types based on a user model and then uses them for resource recommendation. The paper implements the proposed method as a prototype system on a personal device with limited resources developed for resource collaboration and shows the effectiveness of the proposed method by evaluating user satisfaction.

    A Clinical Pathway(CP) is standard process to way of treat diseases or injuries which is adapted to each hospital based on National Clinical Practice Guideline(CPG). Since CP is standard guideline for doctors and nurses working in a hospital, making and modifying CP is one of the most important administrational work for hospital and also rare work because once it is fixed, it's not changed whether there are new kind of disease discovered or new treatment is developed. However, in present, patient's waiting time during hospital residence process, is discussed as service competitive for patients. In this research, we utilize process mining tool to verify patients treatment process follows CP with EMR(Electronic Medical Record) in a sample hospital, and suggest modifcation point of CP through verification.

    Types of perception on the body shape of old-old aged women

    The purpose of this study is to provide a basic data of clothing development which can improve the satisfaction of the body shape by examining the subjective evaluation and type characteristics of the old-old women themselves. Q methodology was used for the study of subjectivity. The types of the body shape of the old-old women were analyzed as five types: bent body with protruding abdomen, backward bent body with slender legs, inverted triangle, swollen cylinder, triangle. The bent body with protruding abdomen had a bent back and waist. They were recognized that the bust and shoulders were sagging and abdomen was protruding. The backward bent body with slender legs was the smallest of the five types with a BMI index and shoulders and bust were sagging. And knee and waist were bent and legs were thin. The inverted triangular shape showed the highest BMI index among the 5 types, indicating that it is obese. They thought that the upper body was developed and the lower body and legs were slender. The swollen cylinder shape was analyzed to be the smallest and the most fat body. The triangle shape had developed lower body and bent back and waist. It is considered that a design consideration is needed to cover the disadvantages of the body shape in consideration of not only wearing feeling but also aesthetic part when making clothes. By making ergonomic garments considering the characteristics of body shape, it can be expected to change the body shape due to the wearing of clothing that is not suitable for body shape and the effect on physical health in a positive direction.

    In the recent years, with a purpose to provide visual and psychological stability to patients and hospital users, Affordance design theory based on perceptual psychological thought has been applied as hospital design. In the past, hospital service design was focused on <what kind of service is provided> but Affordance design theory focuses on the patients’ experience and methodological research on <how to deliver the service correctly>. The characteristics of the application of Affordance design in the case of patients’ experience and service point is as follows:- Firstly, Affordance design is applied when the objective of the patient’s experience and the functionality of the object are combined. In other words, affordance design is a condition that arises when encounter between service contact point and patients’ experience takes place. Secondly, In the field of Hospital service design, Affordance concepts in and its application can be divided on the functions of experience, cognition and sense following the application of Affordance concepts in Hospital service design. Thirdly, Affordance design method sets meaning of the action received through information provided by morphological features. The condition and surrounding has to be designed in a way that it can induce active behavior of the patient. This study has significance as it has been studied from the perspectives of Affordance theory of design psychology in addition to the physical environment of the hospital, the point of interaction between the hospital and patient, along with the elements of experience design. This study proposes the necessity of analytical study in the field of service design implementation considering various stakeholders in the service contact points of small and medium hospitals in Korea. Furthermore, study of the application of Affordance design can be complemented by reflecting the size of hospitals, the characteristics of specialties, and the specific service environment of each hospital can also be conducted.

    Utilization of Spatial Weather Information System for Effective Air Operations

    In this paper, we propose the methodology and system to show weather information to spatial system. When using the spatial information system, it is easy and convenient to show information such as target location, mission contents, enemy threats and so on. However, drawing 1-dimensional weather information on 3-dimensional space in spatial information system is hard task. To fuse data, we need to add a spatial layer including weather information to spatial layers and perform space modeling for showing weather information as spatial data in a virtual space. The virtual space is shown by receiving meteorological data and then changing in real time through weather database linkage.

    Development of ResNet-based WBC Classification Algorithm Using Super-pixel Image Segmentation

    In this paper, we propose an efficient WBC 14-Diff classification which performs using the WBC-ResNet-152, a type of CNN model. The main point of view is to use Super-pixel for the segmentation of the image of WBC, and to use ResNet for the classification of WBC. A total of 136,164 blood image samples (224x224) were grouped for image segmentation, training, training verification, and final test performance analysis. Image segmentation using super-pixels have different number of images for each classes, so weighted average was applied and therefore image segmentation error was low at 7.23%. Using the training data-set for training 50 times, and using soft-max classifier, TPR average of 80.3% for the training set of 8,827 images was achieved. Based on this, using verification data-set of 21,437 images, 14-Diff classification TPR average of normal WBCs were at 93.4% and TPR average of abnormal WBCs were at 83.3%. The result and methodology of this research demonstrates the usefulness of artificial intelligence technology in the blood cell image classification field. WBC-ResNet-152 based morphology approach is shown to be meaningful and worthwhile method. And based on stored medical data, in-depth diagnosis and early detection of curable diseases is expected to improve the quality of treatment.

    Success Factors Analysis of Domestic Franchise Business - A Study on the CEO of Kwangju and Jeonnams -

    In this paper, We conducted to find out what factors may affect the development of franchise businesses by reviewing the success factors of the domestic franchise business. The research was conducted by the CEOs of Gwangju and Jeonnam Franchise Business and a total of 137 items were used in the empirical analysis. Factors influencing success of the franchise business were designed in five areas : ability of the franchise CEO, franchise system, brand management, capacity of the parent store, and product differentiation. We conducted multiple regression analysis and simple regression analysis for the research assumptions, Validation of the relationship between variables revealed that the ability of the franchise CEOs, franchise systems, brand management, and product differentiation did not significantly affect the increase in member sales, so the ability of the shareholders to increase their sales was important. However, the impact on revenue growth at franchise headquarters has all been significant, The increase in sales of franchises has a significant influence on the increase in profits of franchise headquarters, the report said. It was also found that an increase in the sales of franchises has a significant influence on the success of franchises. Finally, it was revealed that increasing profits at franchise headquarters significantly affects the success of the franchise business.

    The Effect of Self-Regulation Ability, Materialism and Altruism on Ethical Consumption Behavior in Children Consumers

    This purpose of this study was to analyze the variables associated with the ethical consumption behavior of children consumers. This subjects were 431 elementary school students. PASW 18.0 was used for data processing to do frequency analysis, T-test, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows. First, children consumers tend to a little higher everyday ethical consumption behavior than others-oriented ethical consumption behavior. Second, as a result of analyzing ethical consumption behavior according to social economic variables, a high tendency of ethical consumption behavior was shown in groups that personality is extrovert and their household economic status is over upper middle class and father’s age is higher. Third, the variables affecting ethical consumption behavior of children consumers were self-regulation ability, materialism, altruism, personality tendency, household economic status. Materialism had a negative effect but self-regulation ability, materialism, altruism, personality tendency, and household economic status had a positive effect.

    A Study on Efficient Software Education Donation Ecosystem

    In this paper, we propose a software education ecosystem model for activating software education donation. First, in order to investigate current software education donation status, we will conduct a survey on software education donors and analyze the results. 39.6% of the software education donors responded that they were introduced to software education donation activities through their affiliated companies, institutions, organizations. Therefore, it can be seen that the promotion of software education donation activities is the most effective by promoting through software companies, organizations, and organizations and using human networks. The subjects of software education donation activities were the highest at middle school students (73.9%), and the contents of software education donations were the highest at programming practice (63.3%). Donors' satisfaction with software education donation activities was 57.9%. The social support for SW education donors was in the order of software education contents support, activity cost support, equipment and network support, and place sponsorship. 87.4% of donors were willing to continue to donate to software education. The reason why they did not want to continue donating software education was 'lack of personal time' (65.4%). Therefore, it is necessary to develop appropriate social support and incentive system to overcome shortage of personal time in order to activate software education contribution. In order to promote sustainable software education donations, it is essential to establish a virtuous circle of software education donation ecosystem based on cooperation and solidarity with various organizations such as government, corporations, institutions, universities and civil society organizations.
