This study aims to analyze the meaning of occupational self-realization by reflecting on the educational ideology of Dewey, and explore the meaning of integrated moral education from the viewpoint of self-realization. The implicit meaning of self-realization and moral education revealed in the aspect of occupation among various fields of life can be summed up such as followings :1) The major characteristics of occupation is interest, and interest is another word of self. Therefore, occupation is a representative phenomenon of life that can identify the self with the activity itself.
2) The self-realization is explained by the relation of tension and integrated reaction between the horizontal awareness of self(equal to the professional characteristics of occupation) and the vertical awareness of life(equal to the vocational characteristics of occupation).
3) The occupation is a concrete form of self-realization accomplished by the social and cultural evaluation, and possesses the moral characteristics in itself.
4) The occupation embodies the process of individual lives, or represents an embodiment beyond the overall lives. Human beings are leading and pursuing moral lives through their own works, which are the embodiment beyond the overall ideal.
5) The integrated moral education can be embodied by the practical process of life that forms and clarifies the center of integration, namely the overall ideal of individual, beyond the emphasis of the integration between what and what.
