The Purpose for this study was Ethical Attitude Education of Korean Christian
Counselor’counseling performance and also contain the fundamental data for
the establishment of academic identity on counseling ethic to prevent the absence
of ethical education system in the university and Counselors education center.
Despite of fact that ethics education is the great importance to counselors we
have not yet any ethical codes or standards for Korean Christian Counselor. The
explored unethical problems are 1)accept general psychology with out considering,
2) Privacy and confidentiality, 3) dual relationship and sexual intimacy, 4)
the quality and responsibility of the professionals, etc.
This study includes the educational contents of Korean counseling ethic was
reviewed by comparing and analyzing every major ethical components of each
organization to those of American Psychological Association (APA), Christian
Association for Psychological Studies(CAPS) and Korean Counseling Psychological
Association(KCPA), Korean Association of Pastoral Counselors(KAPC). we
should make strengthen about a education of Counselors for let people do well
about activity of counselor Ethically and let items of a Ethical Christian Counselors
to apply well in the field of counselor.
This study united curriculum of ethical counselors and we should held the
way of a Education counsellor from a good mutual relation setting up in effect
and a theory. To develop counseling as a profession Christian Counselors are
to work on the ethical codes and standards which are a vehicle for a professions
identity, self-discipline and maturity.
In Conclusion, this study proved that ethical practice committee will be organized
in Christian Counselors and the study continually for Christian Ethical
counsellors education with effort for a counselor's improvement of measuring.
