    Semi-active Schedule based Genetic Algorithm for Job Shop Scheduling

    Job Shop scheduling problem is one of the most well-known NP-hard combinatorial optimization problems, and it is hard to obtain the optimal solution via numerical methods. Accordingly, probabilistic search methods such as genetic algorithm, simulated annealing and tabu search have been widely applied for solving Job Shop scheduling problems. In general, geneticalgorithms for Job Shop scheduling are designed to maintain a population consisted of active schedules, because the optimal schedules are included in the active ones. However, methods for generating active schedules such as Giffler and Thompson algorithm can be inefficient in that they are often computationally intensive. Instead, this paper proposes a semi active schedule based genetic algorithm called sa-GA. In sa-GA, a solution is represented as a natural permutation of operations, which is easily transformed into a semi active schedule. In addition, the genetic operations can be performed more quickly, and these aspects make sa-GA more efficient than the traditional active schedule based genetic algorithms. The experiment results show that sa-GA also concentrates on the active schedules in the population, and the optimal schedules can be obtained quickly.

    Implementation of Enhanced Tele-conference System with 3D Display

    Tele-conference system provides collaborative environment that allows scientists in the world to collaborate as in the same space exploiting large-sized display and audio devices. However, current systems mainly focuses on video conferencing so that it has difficulties in supporting collaborative works using immersive media data. In this paper we propose an enhanced tele-conference system supporting panoramic 3D display, various input devices for interaction, reliable networking, etc. The proposed system is expected to be applied to various networked collaborative applications including entertainment, education, scientific visualization, etc.

    Development of Automatic System for Efficient Monitoring of P-type Receiver

    Installation of fire detection equipment aims to discover the fire in the building at the early stage for evacuating people quickly by using the warning system, and to protect the property from the spread of fire by operating various fire fighting facilities including fire extinguishing and smoke control system. Currently, about 73.5% of the fire-fighting firms in our country mark their sales less than five hundred million won a year. This means that the most of fire detection system of the small and medium size building adopts P-type Receiver. Therefore, in order to effectively prevent the small-medium size buildings, which use P-type Receiver, from fire, P-type Receiver must be supported by the remote automation monitoring system. Therefore this research proposes an automatic model that can monitor P-type Receiver efficiently. The automatic model proposed in this paper has been designed and implemented to monitor operational status of the detectors connected to P-type Receiver as well as to perform such function as fire detection and fire alarm transmission, etc.

    Cache Technique for Improvement Data Availability in Mobile Ad-hoc Networks

    MANET(Mobile Ad-hoc Network) is consisted of only mobile nodes. Every node plays a role as router which performs data transfer function because it communicates each other using multi-hop communication, It has disadvantage that data access performance gets lower by moving of nodes, multi-hop, and limited system resource. Caching scheme improves this data access performance and availability. In this study, we proposed cache scheme to improve data availability by enhancing consistency of overlapping data which nodes are saving and decreasing query delay time to search data. We compared with GC, COOP method and experienced to evaluate performance of proposed method and identified efficiency of this method.

    A Study on Effects of Hangover Relief using Mixed Fermentation of the Basidiomycetes

    Alcohol misuse often causes hangover, such as cognitive impairment, tiredness, thirst, headache, nausea, muscle pain and increased risk for cancer appears to be rising to the extent of a prime social and health problems in the korea. Alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) and aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH) are known as the key enzymes for the degradation of alcohol. Basidiomycota is a medicinal mushroom used in East Asia to prevent disease such as gastroenteric dysfunction, diarrhea, and cancers. Our results suggest that the mixed fermentation products of the basidiomycetes increased alcohol metabolizing ADH and ALDH activities in vitro and also indicate that fermentation products can be used to the relief of hangover, a drink additive and the protection of liver injury.

    This paper proposes the differential multi security label model which has the detailed security classes with the confidentiality and integrity of the subject and object. We were specially described a role with the security classes to be applied to commercial enterprises. And the model has a role flexibility that can be reconfigured according to the organization and the environment. Finally, accurately expressed by the constraints of the roles to the formalized structures using Z language, it provide the advantage that you can reduce the cost and time to design and implement a model.

    Improvement of Response Time by Discharging Time in Charge Particle Type Display

    We add a discharging time for the mixing particles charged with (+) and (-) charge to the reported fabrication process of a reflective display and compare the result. The discharging is accomplished at thermo-hygrostat after mixing particles are loaded into a panel. In the comparison result of the response time of a panel with and without discharging time, the response time of the black particles (+) is greatly reduced and approaches to an ideal curve. The response time of the white particles (-) is not largely reduced, but changed to the ideal shape. A difference of the response time of the white and black particles is induced to the difference of the q/m value. An improvement of the response time curve is induced by an electrical neutralization and will contribute to a panel lifetime by giving a nonlinear movement to the particles.

    Recently many companies tend to change the IT infrastructure into the base of Cloud Computing for the efficient utilization and management of resources. Especially the system configuration using Server Virtualization techniques gives us the ease of management, the economy of space, the realization of Green IT as well as the efficiency of resources. The cost of infrastructure construction, however, acts as a burden on cloud computing. Current cloud computing infrastructure for open source server virtualization technology emergence time, support functions, such as utilization based on the third generation to the first generation from classified can. The first-generation server virtualization technology such as Xen, KVM, VirtualBox, and its second-generation server virtualization technology of Oracle VM, VMware vSphere, Citrix XenServer. Finally, the third-generation server virtualization technology as a platform to integrate and manage a variety of hypervisors, OpenStack, Eucalyptus, OpenNebula. This paper analyzes the costless open source server virtualization techniques for the cloud computing infrastructure development and presents it as a basis of the suitable system configuration for the companies.

    As collective intelligence has getting popular, the number of its usage cases such as wikipedia has increased and its application fields also has been widen in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) fields. In this paper, we model collective intelligence system, which consists of information producer, sharing system, consumer, and problems. We also classify the existing collective intelligence services according to business perspective, information producers' perspective, and information consumers' perspective. Our work will give people the insight on how to see collective intelligence services, and inventors insight on new services.

    A Study on the Correlation Analysis of Bone Mineral Density Measurement by Dual Energy X-ray Absoptiometry(DXA) and Quantitative Computed Tomography(QCT)

    The purpose of this study is to analogize the result of test when we don't measure two devices through explaining the correlation of bone mineral density (BMD) test value between Lumbar Spine BMD by DXA and QCT of equipment. We analyzed the correlation of lumbar spine by DXA with Trabecular in QCT for BMD and the correlation of lumbar spine with T-score & Z-score QCT for BMD each other. The measuring devices were Hologic QDR-4500w of HOLOGIC INC and SOMATOM 128slice of SIEMENS. We measured the bone mineral density from sixty healthy subjects (10 people in 20~30, 30~40, 40~50, 50~60, 60~70 and 70~80respectively with age). As age roses, T-score became lower. Over 60 occurred osteopenia. Lumbar Spine BMD by DXA and QCT had a high correlation. And T-score of DXA and QCT correlated with Z-score. The research result, we predict the results of one of the devices, through the other's result . So, it could have a clinical availability.

    Experimental Analysis on the Relationship between Two Primary Qualities of Useful Information of Relevance and Reliability

    Financial Accounting Concept identifies the overall objective of accounting as the provision of information that is useful for decision making. It also describes relevance and reliability as the two primary decision-specific qualities necessary for useful information. There has traditionally been a presumption that there exists a trade-off relationship between relevance and reliability. This study was motivated by the desire to confirm the empirical validity of the trade-off assumption. We launched a questionnaire survey targeting 124 undergraduate students majoring in accounting in P university. The questionnaire was designed to make the respondents to choose between two accounting alternatives characterized by relevance or reliability in 10 hypothetical transaction scenarios. The analysis of the responses suggested a direct, not a trade-off, relationship between the two qualities, which was more evident for the group of students with a lesser exposure to accounting education or training. This study provides an opportunity to reconsider the meaning of qualities of accounting information in general and the relationship between the relevance and reliability in particular.
