    A Study on the Customized Pipe Network Components Status Input System in Wcloud Environment

    Reading the RFID/NFC tag installed in the relevant facility or recognizing the Barcode/QRcode by use of the camera, one can connect to the relevant facility management URL using the URL information saved in the tag/code as a facility managing method. However, since the fault reception screens for the existing facility management are complex and the reception method is difficult, the confusion can increase in the reception when reporting the accident. And it can be difficult to approach to the relevant facility or hard to accept the damage of tag. This paper suggests the pipe-network components customized status input system in the cloud environment for the fault acceptance and report to be possible through easy one-click by providing the list of faults that can occur in each facility by the customized screen.

    Effects of Feedback Types and Learning Styles on Instructional Activities in a Collaborative Learning Environments with an Educational SNS

    The purpose of the study was to understand the educational role of an educational social network service (SNS) in eLearning environments. A quasi-experimental research was conducted with forty valid college-students who took an eLearning class using an educational SNS that developed by K University in Korea. To address research questions, numbers of postings and replies were compared according to the learning styles of the leaner (independent, avoidant, collaborative, dependant, and competitive) and the feedback types of the instructor (reinforcement and corrective). Also, learning contexts were analyzed by Content Analysis method. As a result, more effective strategies of reinforcement and corrective feedbacks were needed. Also, students used SNSs for studying learning contents, confirming classroom schedules, encouraging participation and learning, and showing intimate friendship. Based on the results, suggestions were made including the necessity of providing more systematic feedbacks, leading optimal learning activities based on analyzing learning styles, and synthetic development of instructional strategies for learning effectiveness.

    High-speed Data Collection Method Using Low-speed ZigBee on Wireless Sensor Network for Oestrus Detection in Cow

    Efficient and accurate discovery of Cow’s estrus makes breeding rate to higher, and very important to maintain the profitability, but in the farm be devoted to in order to improve estrus detection rate, but this does not significantly improved. Recently sensor network technology is perched as an important technical factor of a variety of devices to exchange of information. The sensor networking is applied to the farm for the massive movements of cows to gather information, the information collected based on the analysis of the estrus behavior patterns can used to efficiently improve cow estrus detection rate. In this paper, to transmit and receive a lot of information at a high speed on the low-speed ZigBee used in the sensor network, separated the ZigBee's band to 16 channels in order to use. The effectiveness of the channel separated transmission can be tested, confirmed at the actual farm through experimentation.

    IT Convergence Case Management for the Improvement of Quality of Long-Term Care Service

    It has been six years since the long-term care insurance started in Korea. However, it has still limitations to deliver effective long-term care services to the elderly. Especially lack of standardized service process using IT results in the gaps among long-term care facilities. Therefore, this study is to suggest an implication for the needs of IT convergence case management and standardization of the long-term care services. For the purpose, the researchers describe a stage of case management process and major contents of the process in long-term care facilities. It is expected for IT convergence case management program to be designed in the future, which includes the essential contents of care management in the long-term care facilities.

    An Immersive Mobile Racing Game Based on Visual and Haptic Feedback

    This paper suggests an immersive mobile racing game which allows a user to haptically and visually sense virtual environment. For constructing the immersive mobile racing game, we develop a mobile platform which expresses the reaction of a car on a road surface and simulates the road surface using tactile information. To simulate the road surface, we first design a tiny tactile module with an elastic spring, a permanent magnet, and a solenoid coil and insert it into the mobile platform. Eccentric vibration motors and an impact actuator are incorporated into the mobile platform to simulate the reaction of a car. A thermal feedback module is developed using thermal feedback unit composed of a heat conduction plate and a temperature sensor and is embedded into the developed mobile platform. An inertia measurement unit (an IMU) is inserted into the mobile platform so that the developed platform measures a user’s motion. The developed mobile platform is used as an interface for providing tactile feedback, vibration, and thermal feedback, all of which are important physical property of virtual environment, to a user. We investigate the temporal resolution of the proposed game system because it is considered as a key factor affecting haptic perception. The experimental result shows that proposed system has the possibility to provide immersive sensation to a user.

    Development of Locating the Information System with enhanced User Participation

    While the mobile terminal was used for communication means with others in the past, now it can perform various functions such as searching for information and multi-media services. And, the usability of the mobile terminal is enhanced as various sensors such as GPS and gravity sensors are included. This study developed a locating based augmented reality service by combining GPS sensor in the mobile terminal with an augmented reality service. Different from existing locating information services, it was developed to share obtained information by users. As it is intended for users to share information through their own discretion, it is effective to provide information on a specific area rather than on a widespread area.

    IT GRC-based IT security internal control system

    In this thesis, a novel IT security internal control system is proposed in order to guarantee the enterprise-wide perspective internal control which accommodates administrative, technical and physical internal control enforcement plan. Firstly, the proposed IT security internal control system synthetically manages IT security processes which are composed of information security processes, privacy processes and security service processes from the perspective of governance. Secondly, it integrates IT related logs based on Big Data to synthetically monitor information security control breach and information leakage anomaly, monitors Key Risk Indicator (KRI) for the information security threat scenario, analyses, alarms and reponses results of monitoring them from the perspective of the risk management. Lastly, it integrates and manages law and regulations related to IT security from the perspective of compliance and provides the automated and integrated IT security internal control environments to the system managers. The proposed thesis proves to be an automatical and efficient scheme to offer the IT security internal control environments through the case of a system installation in a financial company.

    Autumn Leaves Analysis of Seorak Mountains Using Variations of Pixels' Color

    In general, weather observation based on visual examination has obvious limits in accuracy and consistency of its analysis results. In this paper, we propose a new weather observation method using digital image analysis and information technologies to solve the current observation's difficulties and inaccuracy. Our method consists of three steps : the preprocessing to enhance input images obtained from remote camera control system, the pixel values extraction step to analyze autumn leaves and the statistical classification to find peak autumn color. we make use of RGB variation statistics to analyze red leaves front. We uses an analysis method of multiple small area divided from an entire input image to enhance analysis accuracy. The small areas is classified by wood lands and a thick forest that best shows characteristics of autumn color variations. We apply the method to Seorak Mountains images collected during October 2013 to November 2013 and can obtain successful features about the peak autumn color and its progress.

    An Implementation of Agricultural Monitoring and Automation System based on Embedded Server

    Due to the aging, the domestic agriculture's one third of the total rural population is decreasing during last 10 years, and the decreasing process of farmers is ongoing. To solve the labor of the fewer people in agriculture, automation systems are introduced to improve productivity in developed countries. Thus, the systems should provide the solutions for the shortage problem of working population in agriculture. The automation system should be low-cost to be adopted widely by farmers. To implement this kind of automated systems, it requires the development of low-cost sensors which has stable operation with network connection to the server. And the server can monitor in real time with the ability of connection to smarthpone. In this paper, agricultural monitoring and automation system based on embedded server is implemented. The system collects agricultural environment data such as temperature, humidity, Co2 with low-cost sensors, and monitors them with real-time on a smartphone. Also, it actuates remotely LED lighting, ceiling door by a smartphone. In addition, the video can be monitored with a networked camera applicaion (IPOLIS application) installed on a smartphone.

    A Hybrid Data Mining Classifier for Prediction Churn Customers

    The activities for customer relationship retention are most essential process of customer relationship management. If we improve the rate of churn customers about 5%, it is known that the profit rate of the company raises about 100%. Prediction activities must be preceded for management of the churn customers. If we can predict churn customers in advance, we can minimize the loss because of removing the churn factor. Data sets about churn customers have an imbalanced characteristic that the number of the churn customers is less remarkably than the number of the retention customers. One of the main issues on the models to predict churn customers is to increase prediction performance. This research deals with decision tree, neural networks, and SVM models those are mainly used to predict the churn customers and known as good prediction performance, and proposes a hybrid weighted data mining classifier. To test the prediction performance of proposed method, this study used 'churn data sets' in UCI Machine Learning Repository. Experimental results showed that the method was effective for prediction of churn customers.
