    An Interpretation and Translation System Using Location Based Big Data Analysis

    Nowadays, an accuracy of interpretation and translation system, which are based on a natural language, are quotidianly increasing, because a big data processing method has been dramatically progressed. However, there are still some lacks for an user who is needed a colloquial style interpretation and translation. To this end, we propose an interpretation and translation system for the user, which are using a location information based on big data analysis. When the proposed system collect data, the system is preferentially gathering the data which are generated in the near regions, and which are related with the regions. At this time, the criteria of data gathering process are each data location information. And then, the system will configure various data set by their data type. The configured data set, which it will be used pre-learning parameters in a deep neural network. Based on these parameters for the pre-learning process, the proposed system carry out a deep learning process. By doing this, the system provide a improved interpretation and translation result for colloquial style. To verify an excellence of the system, we compare with an existing system. In the performance evaluation, the proposed system show enhanced results about 10% than the existing system.

    Personalized Recommendation Service Framework Using the Beacon

    The number and variety of applications, content is increased due to smartphone has spread to the development of mobile networks and devices, and smartphone users increasing. Therefore, the user wants to receive anytime, anywhere, the information available at the time that a user prefers. Personalized service by analyzing the user profile using user information such as current situation, behavior, tendencies, and preferences of the current required to provide a service that responding user's request. By using the user's context and grasp the situation, it is necessary that the context-aware services providing service according to it. In addition, according to IoT environment issue, personalized recommendation service using IoT technology increased. Recently personalization recommendation service is interesting about Big data technology according to stored and analyze the data due to social media and variety of information. Existing service is made by using only the past history of the user. Therefore, being made of a user-oriented service, it is difficult to consider the user's context. In this paper, we study about positioning service including Beacon and Mobius platform that is IoT open API and Cassandra named Big data analysis. Also, we implement your personalized recommendation services framework using context aware technologies and Cassandra using a beacon representing the IoT technology.

    Application of Unplugged Learning Method to Improve Learning Effectiveness in the Subject ‘Information’ - Focusing on Minimum Spanning Tree and Finite Automata

    The ‘Information’ curriculum in high school is designed to enhance logical thinking ability and creative problem solving ability through understanding concepts and principles of information science and information technology. However, this is a conceptual and abstract content, and an effective teaching-learning method for computer science education is needed because existing curriculum based on the theory can be recognized as a difficult subject for learners. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of Unplugged teaching and learning methods on academic attitude, academic achievement and learning continuity. For this purpose, Professor Timbell's "Computer Science Unplugged" and high school "Information" textbooks were selected for their unplugged activities. The contents of the two selected classes were prepared according to each teaching method, and the traditional teaching method and the unplugged learning method were compared. In this study, we divided into experiment group applying unplugged learning method and control group applying existing lecture class. Prior to the experiments, assured the homogeneity of two groups by academic achievement pre-test, after that, analyzed results of t-test by academic achievement post-test. As a result, the unplugged activity applied to the information subject lesson class showed positive results both in academic achievement and academic attitude as well as learning continuity.

    Reliability Analysis of Systems Using Single Valued Neutrosophic Multisets

    Neurotrophic sets are representation of indeterminacy that is difficult to express in classical sets, fuzzy sets, interval valued fuzzy sets, intuitionistic fuzzy sets, interval intuitionistic fuzzy sets, and so on. Neurotrophic sets are defined on the real standard and nonstandard subsets of . For this reason, it is difficult for the neurotrophic sets to actually apply in real science and engineering area. Therefore, many researchers have proposed subclasses of neurotrophic sets that can solve real world problems. These neurotrophic sets include single valued neurotrophic sets, interval valued neurotrophic sets, simplified neurotrophic sets, and single valued neutrosophic multisets. In this paper, we propose a method for evaluating the reliability of systems using single valued neurotropihc multisets. Single valued neurotrophic multisets are class of neurotrophic sets representing single valued neurotrophic sets and multisets concept together to provide a way to handle multiple sets of indeterminacy. This method can be applied to evaluate the reliability of systems having membership values represented by a single-value neurotropihc multiple set that is difficult to express in single valued neurotrophic sets, interval valued neurotropihc sets, and simplified neurotrophic sets.

    Analysis of Amazon Prime Air UAV Delivery Service

    The UAV, or also called drone, is extensively being spread out to various applications and last-mile delivery service is one of the applications which attracts logistics companies including Amazon.com, Inc. Although Amazon Prime Air delivery service using UAVs is widely advertised, slight amount of Amazon delivery UAV information is revealed to public and undermining it became the main purpose of this paper. Throughout the paper, Amazon delivery UAV itself is analyzed in the aspect of UAV classification(DoD) and ideal HW specifications: motor, battery pack, controller, and frame. Particularly, the ideal HW specifications of Amazon delivery UAV are deduced by comparing three resources including information from Amazon disclosure, theoretic calculation, and xcopterCalc calculation. Then, post and parcel delivery market is analyzed by predicting the future based on the present volume and revenue growth between 2012 and 2020 and it shows that there would be a continuous shift from B2B to B2C industries. The delivery cost is further analyzed by considering two opposing cases, that is, cost benefits with or without Amazon Prime Air service between 2013 and 2021. It is indeed revealing that net shipping cost with Amazon Prime Air service will become only 8.6% compared to the one without Amazon Prime Air service in 2021. Last but not least, rules and regulations related to Amazon delivery service are deeply analyzed by studying FAA FAR Part 107 and listing 14 CFRs.

    The Effect on Defering Degree of The Optional Tasks in The Imprecise On-Line Scheduling

    In a system that supports imprecise computations, every time-critical task is structured in such a way that it can be logically decomposed into two subtasks: a mandatory subtask and an optional subtask. In the imprecise computations, the on-line scheduling problems not only to improve schedulability for the mandatory subtasks but to minimize total error for the optional subtasks have been proposed recently. The NORA(No Off-line tasks and on-line tasks Ready upon Arrival) algorithm can find a schedule with the minimum total error for a task system consisting solely of on-line tasks that are ready upon arrival. To improve the schedulability of the NORA algorithm, The DOT(Deferred Optional Tasks) and the DOP(Deferable Optional Part) algorithms delay the optional subtasks of the earliest deadline tasks keeping the total error minimized. However, the algorithms were designed only for preemtable on-line imprecise tasks and couldn’t be applied for nonpreemtable tasks. So, the DOTMD(Delay Optional Tasks Meeting its Deadine) and the DOTMP(Delay Optional Tasks as Many as Possible) algorithms are proposed for scheduling the nonpreemtable imprecise on-line tasks to improve the schedulability by defering the optional subtasks also. But, the effects of the defering degree for the optional subtasks on the schedulability and the total error haven’t been known yet specifically until now. Therefore, in this paper, the effects of the defering degree not only for the preemtable but for the nonpreemtable optional subtasks on the schedulability and the total error are analyzed and compared respectively by simulation study.

    A Search of the Shortest Route with a Limit on a Number of Transfer using Genetic Algorithm

    The major role of intelligent character in an artificial intelligence game is to be smarter and to add more interest on character behaviors. Moreover, to apply artificial intelligence on behaviors and movements of intelligent characters, the time to process artificial intelligence should be shortened because even without the process of artificial intelligence, it takes time to visualize and print out a character with intelligence. In this study, the method that searching a spanning tree with the lowest cost which is limited in a number of transfer by a using genetic algorithm is suggested. In genetic algorithm, a roulette selection was chosen to be the selection method, and hybridization method of uniform crossover was applied. The elite conservation strategy for throwing back the optimal parameter to the following generation was applied to shorten the searching time. The Dandelion Code, an effective method to encode a tree in the evolution algorithm, was used. As a result of experiment, when the definite number was 50, 60, 70, and 80, the number of transfer limitation was 3 and 5 to compare the cost and time of spanning tree. When the definite number was 80 and the number of transfer was 5, the route was searched 0.161 seconds earlier.

    Effect of Ferrite Sheet for Antenna Performance on Smart Phone

    Recently, a lot of devices are built in a limited space on the smart phones or watches to support various multimedia functions. Especially, in the case of the smart watch supporting LTE communication, the antenna space is extremely small so that it is difficult to secure radiation performance. In addition, recently introduced smart phones are designed with a metallic frame on the outer surface, which makes it difficult to secure antenna mounting space and radiation performance. For this purpose, the numerous researches are being made to reduce a size of the antenna while improving the radiation performance of the antenna. A typical antenna using a magneto-dielectric material in a smart phone is an NFC antenna. The frequency of NFC is 13.56MHz, which uses a very low frequency compared to the cellular communication frequency. However, the magneto-dielectric materials are not used in an antenna for a cellular band because the magneto-dielectric materials have a characteristic that loss increases with an increase in frequency, which is difficult to use in a cellular communication frequency band. Recently, researches have been made to reduce the antenna volume and to improve the frequency bandwidth by using a magneto-dielectric materials for implementing the performance of MIMO antenna in a cellular communication terminals. In this paper, it is researched that the improvement of the antenna radiation efficiency is possible in the cellular frequency band by using ferrite sheet, which is one of the magneto-dielectric materials.

    Study on Rainfall Estimation of High Resolution Using Machine Learning

    Occurred rainfall as local torrential rainfalls among the climate change has a decisive effect on life. Rainfall is closely related to the living of people, its exact prediction is important to us. In this paper, we have improved the estimation accuracy of rainfall by comparing the applicable interpolation algorithms of meteorological field. The comparison algorithms are Kriging, MLP(Multi-Layer Perceptron), SVR(Support Vector Regression), Random Forest and Bagging. For the experiment, we used the AWS(Automatic Weather System) data which exists the event of rain on August 16th, 2015, 16:00~20:00. The AWS data is collected by a 1-minute cycle, the attributes related to rainfall include precipitation type, accumulated rainfall such as 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and 1 day, etc. The dataset consists of training data and test data in 255 observation stations, Seoul. 230 stations are used as training data, the remaining stations are used as test data. Validation methods such as RMSE, R-square, Correlation Coefficient, CSI(Critical success index) and BIAS(frequency BIAS) were used to compare the algorithms. CSI and BIAS were measured for precision of rainfall and calculated using the rain contingency table. Our experimental results showed that bagging algorithm performed better than the others in estimating the rainfall information.

    Optimal Multimedia Data Division Method for Network User using Docker-based Virtual Machine

    Existing multimedia transmission method does not consider the network situation in real time such as a frequent interruption while playing back at a multimedia client. Thus, in this paper, we propose a customized split transmission method that considers the device characteristic and network environment. The user receives multimedia data based on a Docker-based system. Besides, we describe the configuration of a network environment in the Docker platform where multimedia quality changes according to the changing of network condition in real time. The virtual machine consists of a main server that manages the entire server and data servers that provide multimedia services. Moreover, we build a Docker-based virtual machine to cope with a changing network environment. The main server manages the generated data servers in real time. When a user requests multimedia contents, the main server selects an optimal server through a redirect algorithm based on the user's network and data server environment. The data servers provide multimedia quality in real time according to the user's network situation through the multimedia division transmission technique. In the experiment, we compare and analyze the data transmission rate between two methods, 1:1 multimedia transmission and server-based network transmission. Throughout comparative analysis of experiments, it showed that the split transmission method is faster than the conventional method.

    A Study on Data Packet Design of Damage Detection Sheet Using Embedded Board

    This paper is the study on design of damage detection sheet data packet using embedded board. Due to the problem of economy of the measurement cost by distance of the current measuring equipment, most underground facility monitoring systems are in the state of only monitoring the main pipeline. Therefore, it is not economically feasible to apply a short branch line. In order to solve this problem, an embedded system is used for the miniaturization and low cost of the sensing device, and a system for detecting the leakage of the whole branch pipe by using the damage detection sheet is applied and operated. However, since it existing systems provides only simple leak information, there is a disadvantage that performance as a leak detection system can be degraded. In this paper, the data packet of the damage detection sheet is designed to improve the performance of the leak detection system using the existing embedded system and to provide the pipeline status information from the damage detection sheet. Then, the state of the node can be confirmed by using the designed data packet. System development environment has been built based on Arduino UNO board, RS 485 communication module and damage detection sheet’s transfer data management database server was built.

    A Direction Education System for Developmental Disorder Children

    Natural user interaction systems are widely used for reducing the learning curve of a user to adapt usage of many applications. For example, a user can enlarge or reduce the size of a virtual object by scrolling with two fingers and can move an object by dragging with his/her finger pads or arms. The objective of this research is to develop a motion UX-based educational system that helps sensory, movement and cognitive capabilities of the developmental disorder children and allows them to adapt to teach direction. The tangible UX-based educational system consists of a motion input device and a motion creating device. The motion input device allows the developmental disorder children to intuitively manipulate the motion creating device. The position and the velocity informations created by motion input device are transferred to the motion creating device, and are converted into the speed and the direction for controlling motors which are inserted into the motion creating device. We have conducted an experiment in order to show that developmental disorder children can learn the direction information (the meaning of left, right, front, and back). The experimental result shows that the proposed system can be suitable for training the developmental disorder children to learn the direction information.

    Analysis on the Security Requirements for the Aviation-IT Convergence

    n the age of fourth industrial revolution, convergence in various industries is inevitable. The convergence of the aviation industry and the IT industry sector is rapidly moving into one of the major industries and technologies to facilitate international standardization efforts. In this paper, for stable operation of the drone, analyzed vulnerability through various types of reported accidents and propose requirements for the necessary security requirements. Conventional use methods, such as spoofing and jamming attack, which are used to examine the frequency bands, have proven that they are no longer able to secure GPS safely. And in this paper, limited to low-cost industrial drone operation, suggesting a new set of algorithms that take account of the operational goals of the drone. The proposed algorithm improved reliability by suggesting a technique for separating data collected by the external data required for navigation and by the captured data. Further, it has increased stability compared to costs, resulting in a double security structure that lets them distinguish against wrong signals that has open the corresponding network only when needed and the random values depending on time. The algorithm presented in this paper does not significantly change the existing hardware and most processes operated by software, expect that will contribute to the efficient operation of low-cost industry drone.

    Evaluation of Japanese Basic Research Policy : Focusing on R&D Expenditure Policy

    Japanese R&D expenditure is classified into two types such as competitive fund and block fund. In the meantime, Japan enacted S&T Basic Law in 1995. Following the law, Japan has made a S&T Basic Plan every 5 years. Since then, the policy paradigm regarding R&D expenditure has been changed into expanding competitive fund and promoting competitive research environment. As a result, the amount of block fund for university professors and researchers has been decreased. Japanese researchers have pursued more popular and short-term oriented research themes rather than challenging or long-term research for getting competitive fund. Meanwhile, Japan’s influence of SCI papers has been decreased from the mid-1990s. Based on the above situation, Japanese Science Community argues that Japan has now been under the crisis of basic research. Even though Japan produces Nobel Prize Winners in science fields every year, relevant organizations and opinion leaders in science community have felt the sense of crisis in terms of its science power. Through the case of Japan, we will be able to draw some lessons. First, we, Korea, have to support researchers with R&D expenditure of block fund type different from competitive fund. Since 1989 which is regarded as the first year for the promotion of basic research, Korea has increased R&D expenditure very sharply but not produced scientific breakthroughs till now, which is called Korean Paradox. We have to overcome this kind of phenomena based on affordable R&D expenditure system. Second, we, Korea need to make research culture and environment suitable for long term, creative and challenging research activities. Basic science is a source to create state–of-the-art technologies which will be able to produce innovative products and new industry.

    A Study on an Object-orientation and Extensibility in Context-aware Systems

    There has been a lot of research on context-aware computing, but software extensibility in the development of those systems has not gotten much attention in spite of its importance in software engineering. In this paper, we introduce some extension requirements for context-aware systems, and identify four extension types for them: sensors, context inference algorithms, contexts, and context-aware services. For those extension requirements, we propose four extension mechanisms based on object-oriented technology: separation between abstraction and implementation of context, separation of context from sensors, modular and separate model for context-aware functions, and overloading model for context-aware functions. By adopting those mechanisms, developers or maintainers can add new sensors, context inference algorithms, contexts, or context-aware services without modifying the source code after deployment. Those mechanisms are all based on object-orientation. Our approach represents a context as a class, and context services as methods with context parameter. Context inference is a class with a method which understands sensor values and infers the current context from the values. This approach will reduce costs, time, and efforts in context-aware system maintenance which requires new context-aware features after deployment because it will increase the software reusability and extensibility. In this paper, we also specify a case study which shows how to extend a context-aware system with the extension requirements.

    The Effects of Pressure Ulcer Prevention using Care Sheet Pup: Focusing on ICU Patients

    This study aimed to examine the effects of pressure ulcer prevention using Care Sheet Pup focusing on Intensive Care Unit patients. The study is non-equivalent control group pre and-post test design. This study was carried out from 17th March to 16th September in 2014. There were 240 participant who were recruited from the intensive care unit in E general hospital in Korea. 120 patients in the Intensive Care Unit were assigned to an experimental group and 120 patients were assigned to a control group. The experimental group received the Care Sheet Pup and general care of pressure ulcer was given to the control group. The data was analyzed using t-test and chi-square test with SPSS Statistics Win 20.0 program. The incidence of pressure ulcers in the experimental group was lower than the control group(p=.000). There was a lower pressure ulcer stage in the experimental group than the control group(p=.000). To summarize, the results of this study suggest that the Care Sheet Pup dressing is effective in preventing pressure ulcer in Intensive Care Unit patients. However, this is limited to generalize the findings. We propose further research on the cost-effectiveness based on the type of the pressure ulcer dressing in order to prevent and manage pressure ulcer for Intensive Care Unit patients.

    Nowadays, many business embed recommendation systems in their web sites, in order to study the tastes of their customers, and achieve some business objectives. Personalized Recommender Service is necessary to latent tendency to optimize service for each user’s unique needs and characteristics. This service is to offer user to customize their service, as well as provide information from their past behaviors. These events have many functions what do they want/need to behaviors and preferences with commerce. Especially, most diversity of commerce serve users with product contents by self-adapting computer system. However, many users don't always know what they want and need, and when their behaviors occasionally change preferences. Besides, users don't find out their purchased history that they want to buy with required product on commerce. After all, personalized recommender service aims to provide with associated services of user’s preference or purchase pattern from the unexpected product information of commercial market. Accordingly, we propose strategies for adaptive personalized recommender service in this paper. Finally, we need to design for adaptable recommender service (tag-based ranking) to support sport commerce. In addition, we make use of adaptive service design, detecting service with user’s data modeling.
