    Jaemu Lee | 2019, 14(2) | pp.111~118 | number of Cited : 0
    Abstract PDF
Most computer based education systems are being produced with the development of computer technology. However, the most of these computer based education systems only consider the functions of the computer without fully supporting educational theories. The computer based education system requires a proper combination of the functions of the computer and the educational theory to enhance the learning effect. The purpose of this study is to appropriately match educational theories and computer functions. Recently the education field has emphasized individualized learning considering individual characteristics of learners. This study introduced an adaptive learning system considering various individual differences theories, such as Achievement Treatment Interaction, Aptitude Treatment Interaction, and Content Treatment Interaction. And it described how to support adaptability such as learner' achievement, learner' learning style, and learning content based on individual difference, which are the most important factor affecting learning effects in the adaptive learning system. This study describes an adaptive learning system applying Brunner’s EIS theory for Achievement-Treatment Interaction Theory. We describe an example of applying adaptability to each learner according to Gardner’s multiple intelligence for Aptitude Treatment Interaction, This study describe an adaptive learning system that differentiates the learning method according to the instructional model for Content Treatment Interaction. Also, this study suggests the development of a direction of a learning system by mapping educational theories and adaptive learning systems together.

    Si-Ho Ryu | Sang-Youn Kim | 2019, 14(2) | pp.119~125 | number of Cited : 0
    Abstract PDF
Augmented reality technology is attracting much attention as a technology that can transmit additional virtual information to users in the real world. A common way to implement augmented reality is to use markers. However, in the case of existing marker-based augmented reality board games, user intervention is required to move the marker position. At this time, if the marker is hidden by the user’s intervention, the augmented reality system does not recognize the marker accurately, and it is not easy to express the augmented reality contents continuously. In this paper, we propose a marker-based augmented reality board game system using a marker shifter. The proposed system consists of a hardware system including a marker shifter and an augmented reality board game. The marker shifter and the augmented reality board game transmit and receive necessary data through wireless communication. In order to realize this, IoTMakers, which is an Internet of Things(IoT) platform for objects, was used and Vuforia SDK(Software Development Kit) was used to recognize a number of markers. The marker shifter consists of a XY plotter and an electromagnet for shifting the marker’s position. and uses two microcontrollers for distributed processing of the wireless communication and step motor control of the XY plotter. If a variety of augmented reality board game contents are developed for the proposed system, we expect that users would be able to experience more augmented reality.

A Block Chain based Service Architecture for Improving Transparency of Online Transaction

    Kim Chul Jin | 2019, 14(2) | pp.127~136 | number of Cited : 0
    Abstract PDF
Based on the block chain platform, new systems are being developed and studied in various fields. Since the development of new system based on block chain is a transition from the existing centralized server to the decentralized system, existing systems can not be used and new ones should be developed. Therefore, the development of a decentralization system based on the block chain is expected to take additional time and cost. In this paper, we propose a method to decentralize on the basis of block chain while maintaining existing online system. We propose an architecture for integrating existing online systems and block chains without developing new ones. By integrating the block chain with the existing online system, transparency of the transaction data occurring in the existing online system can be guaranteed. In this paper, we use the connection adapter for interworking with the Hyperledger Fabric based block chain. The connection adapter calls the REST API to store and update the transaction data in the ledger in the Hyperledger Fabric. We also propose a process of distributing and synchronizing chain codes between peers managing the ledger in Hyperledger Fabric. In the case study, we confirmed that transparency of transaction data can be secured by integrating with online shopping mall service and Hyperledger Fabric.

Recently, Korean mathematicians and foreign mathematicians have been studying the number of Bernoulli and the polynomial of Bernoulli, the number of Euler and the polynomial of Euler, the number of Genocchi and the polynomial of Genocchi, and the number of tangent and the polynomial of tangent. In specially, main studies are the generalized Bernoulli numbers and polynomials, the generalized of Euler numbers and polynomials, the generalized of Genocchi numbers and polynomials, and the generalized of tangent numbers and polynomials. In this study, we study generalized tangent numbers and polynomials in line with recent research trends. Firstly, the relationship between Bernoulli numbers and polynomials, Euler numbers and polynomials, Genocchi numbers and polynomials, and Stirling numbers of the first kind and Stirling numbers of the second kind are studied using the generating function. Next, tangent numbers and polynomials are derived through the generating function corresponding to the real parameters and complex parameters. In conclusion, we investigate properties of the generalized tangent numbers and polynomials as some identities including the generalized tangent numbers and polynomials. In further research, we will conduct a study on the calculation of the symmetric properties and roots of tangent polynomials using the newly proven generalized tangent numbers and polynomials.

    Abstract PDF
Recently, many researches using unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV) has been proposed for applications in coastal areas. However, there is still a need for consecutive researches on various types of UAVs, sensors and regions. Especially, it is necessary to study the practical use of the UAV photogrammetry in marine surveying. In Korea, aquaculture production accounts for 61.8% of total aquatic-product production in 2017 and is increasing year by year. Therefore, there is a growing need to systematically manage, support and monitor aquatic products. In particular, unlicensed and illegal fisheries are increasing in Jeollanam-do. In 2016, the number of unlicensed and illegal fisheries has increased to 180% comparing in 2012. The Jeollanam-do fisheries resources division is implementing special crackdown on illegal aquaculture farmers every year. However, due to the nature of the marine environment, surveillance and enforcement are limited by field surveys alone. In this study, we propose a methodology by using UAV photogrammetry and automatic image recognition technology to increase efficiency of monitoring aquaculture farms. For this purpose, UAV photogrammetry was performed on abalone and seaweed ocean farms in Wando, Jeollanam-do. Then, we developed a methodology for automatically detecting the farm facilities in the marine environment by applying the Faster-RCNN (Regional Convolution Neural Network) to the generated orthophotos. Through the study, it is identified that small UAVs can be effectively used for the surveillance and management of the ocean farms in coastal areas. Also, the automatic method for recognizing aquaculture object using Faster R-CNN technique can be developed.

    Abstract PDF
The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of a design thinking process-based robotics education program on the creativity of engineering college students in information technology(IT) field. To that end, design thinking process-based robotics education was performed for 81 engineering college students in the IT field of ‘A’ University and their daily creativity and creative self-efficacy were analyzed through pre- and post-tests. The results of this study are as follows. First, the daily creativity of the engineering college students in IT field showed positive changes after receiving a design thinking process-based robot education program(p<0.01). Second, the creative self-efficacy of engineering students in the IT field improved after completing the design thinking process-based robotics education program (p<0.01). Third, the sub-factors of daily creativity and the sub-factors of creative self-efficacy of the students improved after they received design-thinking process-based robot education, and most of the sub-factors were correlated with and influenced one another(p<0.05). The result of this study is different from the result of existing studies that engineering college students have lower creativity than college students of other majors. This study has a great significance in that it achieved sufficiently positive improvement effects through the combination of the educational method that promotes creativity such as design thinking process and the robotics education program, which is a product of convergence, regardless of the student’s major field of study.

    Jung ho yong | PARK,WONYANG | Jei,Sang Young | 2019, 14(2) | pp.171~181 | number of Cited : 0
    Abstract PDF
This study describes the symmetrical properties and root calculations of generalized tangent polynomials following the study of the generalized tangent polynomials using the characteristics of numbers. The generalized tangent polynomial has the relational characteristics of the number of Genocchi and the polynomial of Genocchi, and the number of Euler and the polynomial of Euler. In this study, the symmetrical properties of generalized tangent polynomials are demonstrated by dividing them into three parts. This study also uses the Mathematica software program to approach numerically. The results of symmetrical properties are identified by graphs and figures through the Mathematica software program. Next, the calculation of root for generalized tangent polynomials is taken, for example, when the generalized tangent polynomial index is 3. The calculation of root of generalized tangent polynomial is shown by tables and graphs through the Mathematica software program. In this study, the symmetrical properties and root calculations of generalized tangent polynomials were conducted through the Mathematica software program. As a result, two guesses were possible in this study. The first generalized tangent polynomial would be a function of reflective substitution analytical plurality, and the second generalized tangent polynomial would have real zeros. Looking forward to a numerical approach using the Mathematica software program in the field of generalized tangent polynomial research, this study concludes.

    Choi, Jong Myung | Iksu Kim | 2019, 14(2) | pp.183~192 | number of Cited : 0
    Abstract PDF
With the popularity of mobile devices with GPS, such as smart phones, search engine provides local search services based on user's current location. Users use local search to search for nearby famous restaurants, attraction places, or social events. However, current search engines support only searches for places, but they can not search information provided by search services from local institutes. For example, you can search for local libraries through local search, but you can not use the search service provided by the libraries from search engines. In this paper, we introduce the concept of meta local search which allows search engines to search information from local institute’s information services. Furthermore we will also introduce the design of meta local search systems, and its prototype system. The meta local search system has client-server architecture, and the client should be able to detect user’s location using GPS. We can design the server in three types. The first one is that the search engine keeps and manages all the information from the local institutes. This approach has the advantage of providing stable search service without local servers’ failure. The second approach is that the search engines can access the local institute’s servers when needed. Then it can quickly reflect the dynamic changes of the local information. Third, the search engine provides only meta information to the client, and this approach minimizes the costs for modifying the current search engines. In the paper, our prototype system follows the second approach for implementing the server. The server has its own search engine and it is able to dynamically connect with an external local institute’s information system to retrieve information. In the future, meta local search can be extended to stores or agencies in local area in the future.

In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, Smart City is being developed along with the Internet, which is one of the core technologies. With the expansion of Smart City, there is a growing interest in the construction, management and maintenance of IT infrastructure facilities that make up Smart City. Smart City network infrastructure is an important solution to improve the high level of social and urban economic power where people and things are always connected. Therefore, the introduction of Smart City is rapidly increasing worldwide. In addition, maintenance and management systems for infrastructure facilities are being developed and applied. Among the various monitoring technologies, SmartSheet is applied to facilities buried underground and is used for protection and monitoring of facilities. The smart sheet is used for detecting and monitoring various breakdowns by judging the abnormality by communication between the sheets. We could measure the damage location by using the special pipe equipment and TDR equipment which was developed during the monitoring technology. However, there is a disadvantage that high cost and near measurement are impossible. In order to solve these drawbacks, a monitoring system using a low-cost embedded board has been developed, but there is a disadvantage in that a measurement error and a durability problem occur due to the SW error of the embedded board. In this paper, we propose a multipath monitoring system to solve the problem of system failure and measurement problem in the existing monitoring system using the low-impedance embedded board and the impedance characteristics between the time constant and the voltage. The proposed system monitors the problems of S/W and H/W by applying the features of the fault tolerant system and can easily perform maintenance in the event of a problem.

A New Bit-Serial/Digit-Parallel Multiplier in GF(2^m) UsingNormal Basis

    Cho Yong Suk | Shin,Yong-Dal | 2019, 14(2) | pp.203~210 | number of Cited : 0
    Abstract PDF
The Arithmetic operations over GF(2^m) have been extensively used in public-key cryptography schemes and error correcting codes. Among the arithmetic operations over GF(2^m), the efficient implementation of field multiplication is of upmost importance, as field operations of greater complexity (e.g., exponentiation and division) can be performed by the consecutive use of field multiplication. Choosing the basis by which field elements are represented plays an important role in the efficient implementation of finite field multiplications. There are three popular and applicable basis, namely, polynomial basis (PB), normal basis (NB), and dual basis. Hardware implementations of finite field multiplier using normal basis are advantageous due to the fact that the squaring operation can be performed by only one-bit cyclic shift at almost no cost. In this paper, a new bit-serial/digit-parallel multiplier using normal basis of GF(2^m) is presented. The main idea of the proposed multiplier is to use this feature of normal basis. In the proposed multiplier, the bits of an operand are grouped into several digits with bits and each digit is implemented simultaneously by bit-serial multiplier. Therefore, the proposed multiplier takes clock cycles, , to finish one multiplication operation in GF(2^m). The value of can be selected by designer to set the trade off between area and speed according to the application. The proposed multiplier has lower area complexity than bit-parallel multiplier and is faster than bit-serial ones. In addition, the proposed multiplier has higher regular architecture compared to other similar proposals and therefore, well-suited for VLSI implementation and can be easily applied as a basic component for computing complex operations over finite field, such as exponentiation and division operation.
