    High Reliability Fire Detection Systems Using Smoke Detection and Image Processing in Rack Type Warehouse

    The fire management in rack type warehouses is a very important and essential element. Usually, a fire is first produced smoke, then a flame is produced, leading to a fire. Generally, smoke detection systems have smoke detectors installed in all of the rack spaces and detect smoke early on and deliver the correct location. However, if there is not enough space in the rack to install smoke detectors, or if all racks do not have smoke detectors installed, one smoke detector is installed at the top of the rack to manage the surrounding racks. If the smoke detector detects smoke in this configuration, it is not possible to determine which of the grouped racks is generating smoke. Therefore, this study proposes a system to efficiently locate the position of the smoke-producing racks. For this purpose, the camera is installed on a stacker crane that loads and leaves products in a rack warehouse. Image frames are transmitted in real time from fixed cameras so that the difference images are calculated reliably. The images obtained detect the direction of smoke using a technique called dense optical flow, an algorithm that detects the movement of an object. The purpose of this paper is to develop a highly reliable fire detection system that detects the location of the racks in which smoke occurs by moving the stacker cranes in the detected direction and repeatedly.

    Survey on Blockchain Technologies Applied to IoT – Focusing on Applied Environment, Consensus Algorithms, and Platforms

    IoT(Internet of Things) and blockchain technologies are at the core of the technologies that form the fourth industrial revolution. In this paper, we examine the researches incorporating blockchain technology for the IoT. It is predicted that the number of IoT devices explode, and the amount of data to be collected and managed would also be significant. Ensuring the security of the device or data generated from the device is a problem to be solved. The blockchain technology is considered as a solution to this problem, because it provides data safety such as decentralization of data management, non-forgery, and traceability. However, it is considered that the inefficiency of the calculation of the consensus algorithm used in existing electronic cryptocurrency management (e.g., Bitcoin) should be improved in order to be applied to the Internet of Things. In this paper, we analyze the characteristics of the blockchain technology applied for the IoT system by classifying recent research into an applied environment (i.e., home, hospital, company and government), consensus algorithm (i.e., Proof of Work, Proof of Stake, and so on), platform (i.e., Ethereum, Hyperledger), and effort for blockchain application. Through the recent research trend analysis, we show the applicability of blockchain technology for constructing the IoT, and suggest future research topics and issues to be resolved.

    Development of Educational Target Board and Application Programming

    Semiconductor equipment can be divided into pre-process equipment, post-process equipment, and test equipment. Domestic semiconductor equipment companies have used the Visual Studio development environment provided by MS to control such equipment. MFC technology support has been weakened since Microsoft opened the .NET, but as the MFC continues to provide functionality, semiconductor device control systems have been developed in the Visual C ++ / MFC development environment. However, due to the weak MFC technology support and the development of computer hardware technology, the development of new equipment control system in the Visual C # / WinForm (WPF) environment has recently been, and the MFC base is limited to maintenance and function improvement. Meanwhile, major domestic semiconductor equipment producers are expected to increase their investment in the semiconductor equipment industry in the memory sector. In order to cultivate SW development manpower for semiconductor device control, appropriate education tools are required at universities. Therefore, in this study, we developed a low-cost small educational target board and application for interface application that can practice hardware control in Visual Studio C # development environment. The devices and sensors mounted on the target board are 5-switch, 4-LED, 4-RGB LED, 4-FND, variable resistance, illuminance sensor, temperature / humidity sensor, piezo around the ARM® 32-bit Cortex®-M3 CPU. It is a port for controlling stepper motor and servo motor. And the application is a program for driving these parts. Learning about the field of equipment control with the results of this study is expected to be of great help to job seekers who want to enter this field.

    The Effect of Software Education Using Micro:bit on Computational Thinking of Elementary School Students

    Computational thinking is the ability to solve problems logically and algorithmically, with the goal of solving problems with a computer. Developing problem solving skills based on computational thinking is gaining attention as an important capability in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Research directions for increasing computational thinking power can be largely divided into research on education based on educational programming language and on physical computing. Education using physical computing requires a small programmable computer that elementary school students can easily access. This study presents the results of analyzing the educational effects of physical computing education on the basis of micro:bit-based physical computing education, which is recently attracting attention. The education program was designed according to the 2015 revision curriculum of the Ministry of Education. For the analysis of computational thinking ability, the pre and post thinking test was conducted based on the Beaver challenge problems. Statistical analysis was performed with pre and post test results. As a result, it was confirmed that physical computing education with education program using the micro:bit computing tool has a positive effect on the improvement of computational thinking of elementary school students. It was also evaluated to have a uniform positive impact regardless of grade level.

    A Study on Low Power RF Transceiver Design for BLE / ZigBee IoT MCU Chip

    Recently, the demand of BLE/ZigBee IoT MCU is highly increased for low power sensor network realization. In this paper, a low power and low cost BLE/ZigBee RF transceiver is studied with careful review of Bluetooth 5.0 core specification for BLE and IEEE 802.15.4 ZigBee specification. For the receiver side, a low-IF architecture with digital filtering and high ADC dynamic range is used to eliminate the analog filter to achieve both of small size and low power consumption simultaneously. Thanks to the inherent characteristics of a low-IF receiver, the proposed architecture also has the merits of high performance because of no signal loss due to DC offset removal filter and no flicker noise. For the transmitter side, a direct frequency modulation based on two point modulation and gain and phase mismatch calibration is proposed also for low power consumption. Moreover, 5bit binary-weighted inverse class-F power amplifier is proposed because the inverse class-F power amplifier shows greatly improved power efficiency even better than that of the class-F power amplifier. The 5bit binary-weighting is used for maximum transmit output power control as well as transmitter ramping for on-to-off and off-to-on transition. To meet FCC spurious emission regulation, on-chip and off-chip LC filtering and LO duty ratio control to suppress 3rd harmonic and 2nd harmonic, respectively. Finally, this paper presents the power architecture, which can support battery operation and solid power supply operation for best power efficiency and BOM cost optimization.

    The Effect of Software Education using Pair Programming on Learning Motivation and Academic Achievement

    As the technology of information communications has developed and its equipment has come into wide use lately, the social structure has been changing from industrial society to informational one. This caused the transformation toward the society in which computers solve complicated problems by using various and a large amount of materials from the society in which people solved simple ones by using a small amount of materials. Owing to this change, each nation in the world became interested in software education and added them to school curriculum as a new subject. However, the studies about ways of teaching and learning to educate software education effectively are insufficient and preliminary elementary teachers have no interest in teaching programming. So this study suggested the way of teaching and learning which can educate software education through pair programming. And this study analyzed statistically the learning motivation and study achievements of software education between a experimental group used the way suggested by this study and a control group used a general teaching way. As a result, the way suggested by this study was more meaningful in terms of the learning motivation and study achievements of software education than a general one.

    Analysis of Software Education Framework and Learning Elements

    Software is at the core of the technology driving the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In other words, the future is a software-driven society that is at the center of innovation, growth and value creation and determines the competitiveness of individual business countries. The automotive and consumer electronics sector is no longer a manufacturing sector, and software is becoming increasingly important in the arts, including film. To lead this SW-oriented society require educational innovation. Software personnel training was primarily carried out in the departments of IT-related universities, but it is necessary to systematically provide software training in primary and secondary schools. The core of the revised curriculum, announced by the Ministry of Education in 2015, is to strengthen this SW education. This paper analyzes the elementary and secondary education framework (revised curriculum) for leading software talent development in a software-oriented society in the hyper connected era. It presents a framework and ways to leverage future creative talent as a solution. It also suggests how to measure learning achievement to determine computing thinking. The framework is currently in the early stages of its introduction and operation, and further analysis of various application cases will require further development of models.

    Design and Implementation of Recruitment System Based on Blockchain

    Due to the significant benefits that blockchain can bring, the level of importance of blockchain has been compared to the role of the Internet in the early 1990s. It is time to introduce a research that can empirically guide how a process for new or upgraded information systems should be prepared with Blockchain in various application areas. In this paper, we would like to show the introduction of Blockchain technology as an alternative to fundamentally eradicate corruption in the HR recruitment process of public institutions requiring national fairness. In order to prevent corruption and fraudulent behaviors throughout the personnel and recruitment process, this paper designed the workflow and node configuration connected to the Blockchain for the following processes and unit tasks: HR recruitment notice registration, HR Recruitment disclosure, HR evaluation score management, HR recruitment interview evaluation process, HR recruitment interview evaluator selection, securing appropriateness for HR recruitment interviewer selection, personnel recruitment final candidate selection. The design science framework and design guidelines were applied for system design. In addition, the most urgent and important three areas such as post-prevention of recruitment score, fairness of selection of interviewers and job posting compliance were selected as the main scope of development and implemented on the Blockchain among the various types of hiring irregularities that occurred in the selection process such as job posting, document screening, written examination, interview, and decision of successful applicants.

    Implementation of Power Saving Management System Based on Power Usage Pattern of Data Center Server

    Recently, the emergence of the fourth industrial revolution and the development of the internet environment have resulted in a rapid increase in internet users. According to IT consulting firms, the number of internet users in 2014 increased from 2.4 billion to 3.8 billion in 2017, an explosive increase of 42% in just three years. This rapid increase in internet users leads to increased data throughput on data center servers. This greatly affects the power consumption of the data center, which is one of the major causes of power consumption. In this paper, we implemented a power saving monitoring system based on the power usage pattern for individual servers in the data center. The proposed system implements a function to analyze the power consumption of individual servers in the form of hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly based on situational awareness technology. Through this, a power consumption pattern can be generated that reflects the usage characteristics of the server, and the generated power consumption pattern is reflected as the saving policy of the individual server, which can be registered in the system proposed in this paper and perform efficient power. Based on the proposed model, the virtual simulation result is expected to save about 5% of individual server power consumption.

    A Hybrid Approach Using Python and Excel for Extracting Valid Cases in Content Analysis

    Recent big data gives scientists the opportunity to collect and analyze more quantity of data and more variety of data more quickly than they could ever do. 3Vs(Volume, Variety, Velocity), the basic characteristics of big data, can solve social science research’s key problems of generalization with research results, accessibility to necessary data, and excessive manpower or time. So, big data is attracting attention as a research method for social scientists. However, many researchers are blind and improperly applying big data without worrying and solving the representativeness and validity of the sample. Therefore, this study proposes a hybrid research method that can maximize the merits of both quantitative and qualitative research methods: generalization and validity. To do this, we researched the trend of fairness-oriented issues related to domestic large companies over a year and crawled 21,900 articles of Naver ranking news with Python using the BeautifulSoup library. And 1,876 final valid data for content analysis were extracted by using the FIND function of Excel. Consequently, we propose an alternative by modeling the process and method for content analysis: crawling news articles by python and filtering valid cases by Excel FIND function. After this research, it is expected that various collaborations will be carried out to create synergy between big data technologies and social science fields.

    Development of Intelligent Children U-Safecare System

    Recently, many accidents related to the safety of children have occurred. Many parents are concerned about the management of their children, such as deaths due to failure to get off the kindergarten bus or violence caused by kindergarten or academy. To solve this problem, this paper aims to develop an intelligent child safety management system. To develop an intelligent system, we will use RFID, GPS, and real-time image recognition. It locates, recognizes and identifies RFID readers in the main activity areas of infants and toddlers, acquires location information through GPS satellites of location-based services, and predicts the time required through geocoding. Two of the most representative technologies based on location recognition are used to manage bus rides and drop-offs for infants and children. And indoor activity detects facial feature points through ASM from video captured by real-time CCTV, and recognizes them using HMM technique to store information. The stored information is provided in real time to those who want to browse the information through the system. The system implementation consists of infant management, school attendance management, and activity history management. In the future, it is expected to collect various information about infants in real time using this system and to use it to provide customized services.

    Effect of Olfactory Stimulation Mixed Carbonated Water Swallow on Suprahyoid Muscle Activity in Healthy Subjects

    The aim of this study was to examine the effect of olfactory stimulation mixed carbonated water swallow on activation of the suprahyoid muscle in healthy adults. Twenty healthy adults measured the activation of the suprahyoid muscle using surface electromyography (sEMG) when swallowing. There are the four swallowing tasks for the subjects: (1) odorless olfactory stimulation with distilled water, (2) odorless olfactory stimulation with carbonated water, (3) Black Pepper Oil (BPO) olfactory stimulation with distilled water, (4) BPO olfactory stimulation with carbonated water swallowing. Counterbalancing was done to exclude order effect. Six times for each task, total 24 times swallowing was done. 5 minute break time was given between each task, one researcher proceeded the experiment for consistency. Fix the reference voluntary contraction as 5 ml water swallowing to standardize the size of sEMG signal. Standardized data were used in statistical analysis, and statistical analyst was blind to the experiment. Among the four tasks, tasks 2 and 4 showed significantly stronger the suprahyoid muscle activity than tasks 1 and 3 in the maximum value (p<.05). In conclusion, Carbonated water, as immediate effect, could promote the maximum activation of the suprahyoid muscle, the immediate effect could not be found with BPO olfactory stimulation.

    Analysis of Antioxidant Effect on Odorless Korea Propolis

    Propolis is a resinous material collected by bees from secretion of the plants, mixed with bee enzymes, wax and pollen and is known as a compound containing about 200 compounds and minerals. The most important substances are flavonoids, which are natural functional substances contained in various parts of the stems and flowers of plants and phenolic compounds which are pale yellow. It is reported to be the most important component of propolis that enhances immunity in vivo and shows physiologically functions such as antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral and anticancer. Propolis has a problem in commercialization due to its characteristic strong smell. The propolis without odor did not show cytotoxicity compared with the conventional propolis. The conventional was found to have a total phenol content of about 14%, the propolis without odor was about 10%, it was confirmed that there is no significant difference in the antioxidant effect. Tyrosinase inhibitory activity was insignificant in the existing propolis, at a concentration of 10 mg/ml of propolis that had been deodorized, tyrosinase inhibitory activity of about 7% was confirmed. Based on the above research results, the propolis material which has effectively removed the strong odor, is expected to be applied to the development of health functional food technology and functional cosmetics, and to be used for the development of various types of functional drinks.

    A Study on the Recognition of Orthodontic Treatment and the Satisfaction Life Using Multiple Regression Analysis Method

    Oral health in modern society, like other body parts, is an important factor in maintaining a healthy life. This is not just the activity of chewing food, but also the aesthetic. Especially, the position and shape of the teeth are directly related to the first impression in protecting oral health and, by extension, in social life. In this study, we want to identify positive or negative perceptions of the orthodontics in social life by using multiple regression methods and explore the difference between quality of life and satisfaction. The reliability of the variables related to quality of life and satisfaction of orthodontic hope was analyzed with a chronvach's alpha, T-TEST was conducted to examine the hope of the correctional care according to the general characteristics, and the method of multiple regression analysis was used to identify the impact of the recognition of corrective care on the satisfaction of life. Studies have shown that recognition of calibration fees (β=2.117, p=0.031) is a relevant factor affecting life satisfaction. This indicates that the higher the awareness of the correctional material, the higher the satisfaction level of life, with 29.8 percent explaining the model and 22.7 percent explaining the modified version.

    An Investigation of Job Stress and Musculoskeletal Pain in Occupational Therapists

    The purpose of this study was to investigate occupational stressors and musculoskeletal pain in occupational therapy practitioners. The questionnaire was distributed to occupational therapists through a convenience sample. A total of 102 responses were received and 93 responses were analyzed except incomplete responses. The statistical analysis was performed using independent t test, one-way ANOVA, and Spearman correlation analysis. In results, the female were significantly higher in wrist pain than the male(p<.05), and clinical experience ≥3 years were significantly higher in job demand than < 3 years, and was significantly lower insufficient job control (p<.05). ≥ Graduate school was significantly lower in insufficient job control and lack of reward than university(p<.05). The rehabilitation hospital was significantly higher in the interpersonal conflict and job insecurity than the university and general hospital(p<.05), and the neck, back, shoulder, and wrist pain were significantly higher in the rehabilitation hospital than the university and general hospital(p<.05). Manual therapy was significantly higher in job stress total score and pain of neck, shoulder, and wrist than the purposeful activity(p<.05). Job stress, neck pain, and shoulder pain were significantly correlated(p<.05). These findings suggest that improvement of environment and system for occupational therapist's job stress reduction and prevention of musculoskeletal pain is needed.
