In this study, we suggest a plan to utilize drones to improve the efficiency of administrative tasks in Seoul. We had interviews with hands-on workers in various departments and identified their usage of drones and geo-spatial information. Most of them realized the effectiveness of the geo-spatial information generated by drone mapping systems, but they had a difficulty in acquiring the information by themselves. Hence, we propose to build an integrated platform of drone mapping application to satisfy their common requirements and support them on applying drones to their works effectively. Based on the proposed platform, we devise application plans of drones for each department individually. By operating the platform according to these plans, we can provide the required appropriate geo-spatial information to each department timely and accumulate the geo-spatial information of areas of interest periodically. Then, they can understand the current status of the areas using the latest information, and analyze the time sequential changes of the areas using the accumulated information. In the future, if the integrated drone mapping and application platform and its operating organization with the associated policies are established, we can expect a significant improvement in the efficiency of the diverse administrative tasks thanks to the practical operation of drones and the utilization of the drone geo-spatial information.
