A Brief Study on Extending the Scope of Appraisal for Software (SW) Valuation

    Kim, Si Yeol , Choi, Jae-Sik , Seo, Yeon-Yi and 1 other persons | 2017, 13(2) | pp.1~7 | number of Cited : 0
    Abstract PDF
This study is intended to suggest the necessity to establish the valuation system for software (SW) copyrights and the related issues to it through the valuation of intellectual property rights, which has recently become increasingly important. As the appraisal of development expense computation has limitations in conducting valuation for copyrights, the necessity for the valuation of practical SW copyrights is proposed in this study. In addition, considering issues arising from the valuation system for patent rights, a brief approach for the establishment of the valuation system for SW copyrights is outlined here

SPDX Document Generation Visual Studio Plug-in development for Invigorating Blockchain based Software Distribution Platform

    Ho-Yeong Yun , Yong-Joon Joe , Shin DongMyung | 2017, 13(2) | pp.9~17 | number of Cited : 1
    Abstract PDF
Software compliance is an essential process when Open Source Software is included in software development to avoid such as license violation issue. However, analyzing quite big software which involves many developers requires enormous time and hard difficulty. To resolve these kinds of problem, SPDX formalizes and standardize the metadata about the software package. When the use of SPDX is activated, software package analysis would be simple and could contribute fair Open Source Software distribution. In this paper, we develop blockchain based SPDX distribution platform which fulfills the requirement of SPDX lifecycle to provide SPDX database which does not depend on particular centralized service but serve as distributed ledger and control by user's certification and their purpose. Moreover, to contribute invigoration of blockchain based SPDX distribution platform, we develop SPDX document generation plug-in for integrated development environment such as Visual Studio.

A Similarity Basics for Hardware Evaluation on IT Device

    LEE KYU TAE , Lee HyunChang , HYUNMOOK CHO and 1 other persons | 2017, 13(2) | pp.19~26 | number of Cited : 0
    Abstract PDF
Copyright evaluation is a work for seeking the similarity between original product and suspected one. Generally, objective materials of both should be submitted to the official authority, but suspected one be declined with uncomfortable status. Especially in case of related to hardware material, such as circuit diagram, PCB gerber file, and elementary part list, there is only hand over a market released final system. In this paper, we show a case study for guideline threshold to decision of evaluation for hardware materials.

Open API Governance for Digital Transformation

    Yukyong Kim , Soo Ho Nam | 2017, 13(2) | pp.27~35 | number of Cited : 1
    Abstract PDF
Digital transformation is drawing attention as a management strategy that fundamentally changes the strategy, organization, process, business model, culture, communication and system of the enterprise based on digital. Open APIs are the foundation of digital transformations and enable rapid adaptation through building and expanding digital ecosystems. API governance has become a prerequisite as the API has become the power of digital business. This paper describes the role and importance of API governance and addresses the issues of open API management. It also describes the core components and functionalities of the API management system for open API governance and introduces API management solutions from leading vendors.

Improvement of Switching Cell States for Dynamic Configuration of Data Centers

    Jang-Geun Ki | 2017, 13(2) | pp.37~42 | number of Cited : 0
    Abstract PDF
To meet the nonlinear scalability of future application services required in the data infrastructure networks of global IT leader enterprises. flexible systems are needed to dynamically allocate the components blocks according to the change of workloads. In this paper, a software program has been developed that automatically controls the state of switching cells using algorithms to calculate the shortest path between resources to efficiently distribute and interconnect configurable resources in the data centers. The extended switching cell states developed in this paper shows the performance improvement of connection success probability, average connection path length, and unused switching cell ratio.
