It is a main stream that the conversion of literary studies is widely welcomed among scholars; literary text into cultural studies. We can nat persist anymore a certain culture or ethnic group but accept multi-cultural, multi-national idea. Especially the ones who do research over literary and cultural texts should be read and re-written in accordance with the changes and conversion of recognition; center and circumference as well as self and other. A. Easthope mentioned this idea that modern literary study was founded on an opposition between the cannon and its other, popular culture. With 'the death of literature', the distinction between high and popular culture was no longer tenable, and the field of inquiry shifted from literary into cultural studies. A. Easthope argues that this new discipline must find a methodological consensus of its analysis of canonical and popular texts. He examines the discipline of cultural studies as it comes out of literary studies. So we can bring this new research method right into Chinese literature on 21st century.
