Drawing on the perspectives of Klein and Lacan, who are the most creative successors of Freudian psychoanalysis, this study tried to better understand the character development and subjectification in our contemporary world. The discussion on the personality development and subjectificaton from Klein and Lacan shows that despite the differences in the surface, the constructive dialogue and discussion between these theories are valuable asset for our educational practice. With the focus on the intertwined relationship between eros and thanatos, Klein’s dialectic of subject formation can be explained as three keywords: Love, Guilt and Reparation while the Lacan’s dialectics of subject formation could be interpreted as Desire, Otherness and Sublimation. Klein and Lacan help us to better understand the personality development and subjectificaion, and thus help us to foster new subjects, ethical subjects, giving us rich educational resources for that matters.
The purpose of this article is to investigate the educational meaning of “links”(Catena) as latin language used by the Comenius’ works. According to Foucault, 'resemblance'(Convenientia) is the intellectual characteristics of the 16th century. These characteristics are shown in Comenius' the structure of Pansophia, works and teaching methods. In a Comenius 'link' usage is the educational meaning five, as follows: First, in relation to the curriculum, the 'link' is a mediator role of educational integration. Second, teachers should bear the mediator role for universal education as one of the 'links'. Third, the 'link' is the intermediary for educational practice (statement of materials). Fourth, practice(Praxis) as a 'link' plays a very important role in the lives using(Chresis) that learners have learned(Theoria). 'Practice' is the link that connects able to 'use' the 'theory' through example, imitation and training
The purpose of this study is to find implications for modern teachers through the apostles of Yulgok. Looking at the current public education, which was in crisis due to Yulgok's efforts to restore the collapsed apostles, it was necessary to establish the identity of teachers as part of overcoming the crisis. The apostle is a teacher who lives a decent life by establishing a firm will for adults. The teacher's teachings are based on 'deok' and 'yeah' to restore universal morality, and are completed through blood cell guidance. These teachings should be realized through study and discipline. The study of apostles is based on 'faith' and 'honesty' to practice 'geogyeong', 'gungri' and 'yeokhaeng' in everyday life. Yulgok says that the practice of human life, the attitude of "sincerity" and "honesty" in daily life, and consideration and respect for students are necessary for teachers.
The purpose of this paper is to reveal educational basis for Dokdo Education innovation by analyzing the meanings of education and educational aims. The discussions of educational aims as educating citizens for global awareness are useful for the detecting about now educational view and practice of Dokdo Education. In this case, The morality and rationality as educational aims is to provide the basis for diagnosis of Dokdo schooling and to introduce educational contents and methods.
Dokdo Education is not the training for protecting Dokdo domain and the education for global minds to view of points for personal flourishing as well as public life. The method for teaching is to add the chance of discussion learning in view of the pedagogy.
In the current COVID-19 crisis, our social institutions and policies are fundamentally transforming. Educational policy is also need to be change a lot. Despite educational policies should be determined by educational principles, ours are determined by political and economic principles. This situation bring great confusion in the school site.
I criticized that existing policy decisions were made by a mediated perception that relies on statistics and data by Dewey's concept of 'appreciation'. Next, I argued that the deliberations in the policy making process should be changed from scientific and mechanical to contextual and qualitative. Qualitative deliberation is a process that actively reflect to the needs and values of various members and a good clue to overcome the rigid sense. It will make our school site as an educational community rather than a bureaucratic community.
This paper focuses on analyzing the factors of knowing, centering on Sishu jizhu, and deriving the general meaning that satisfies all factors. The fundamental elements of knowing can be classified into four categories. First, it is the intrinsic factor that insights into the human nature of the mind by inferring the fundamentals of behaviors that conform to the five relationships through intellectual talent. Second, it is an intrinsic factor that internally understands the use of the five relationships while reading Confucian classics, the object of knowing. Third, it is the extrinsic factor that penetrates through the act to know whenever there is a doubt about why the five relationships should be practiced. Fourth, it is the extrinsic factor to practice the result of knowing the five relationships. The meaning of knowing that satisfies all of these factors is to realize the human nature of the mind through intellectual talent, to tide the five relationships with the body while boldly trying to read Confucian classics to achieve the Tao of self-cultivation and governing people.
