AB - Objectives This case study was aimed to report improvement of Soeumin atopic dermatitis patient with Palmulgunja-tang and Hyangsayangwi-tang.
Methods A 32-year-old female patient had atopic dermatitis and abdominal discomfort. The patient was identified as Soeumin Congestive Hyperpsychotic symptomatology and treated with Sasang constitutional herbal medicine (Palmulgunja- tanggamibang and Hyangsayangwi-tang). Scoring Atopic Dermatitis Severity Index (SCORAD) and Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI) were used to assess the improvements of atopic dermatitis.
Results After treatment for 3 months, the SCORAD index was decreased from 82.6 to 43. In addition, the EASI was decreased from 37.8 to 9.3.
Conclusions This case study suggests the significance of Sasang constitutional medicine treatment for atopic dermatitis.
