ABSTRACT

Digital Human visualizes the personality and identity of users subject to digital identity authentication within the metaverse and realizes economic activities and social participation through interaction between users. For these digital humans, an identity authentication process for users is essential to prevent impersonation and theft issues. However, most Metaverse platforms have security vulnerabilities resulting from reliance on central servers, or potential problems arise in which identity-related information may be disclosed in a decentralized blockchain environment. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an integrated authentication system using SBT and NFT to solve the problems of identity authentication and ownership proof of digital humans in the metaverse environment. In the proposed system, users receive SBT from the platform through KYC authentication, and identity authentication for digital humans is performed through smart contracts. This increases the efficiency of the authentication process by processing ownership and identity authentication through a single smart contract. We expect that the proposed system will allow us to build a safe and efficient digital identity management system.
