ABSTRACT

NFTs effectively represent digital asset ownership but lack inherent identity authentication capabilities. To address this, integrating NFTs with DIDs has emerged as a key direction in blockchain technology development. While enterprises are leveraging blockchain networks to combine NFTs and DIDs across various sectors, this integration process faces several technical challenges. These challenges include performance issues during high-volume transactions, interoperability difficulties with other blockchain networks, development and operational complexities due to diverse technology stacks, and the need to balance information protection with access control. This paper proposes to investigate an event-driven approach within the Hyperledger Fabric environment to address these issues. Fabric offers capabilities for large-scale transaction processing, information protection, and access control while potentially simplifying operations. The integration of NFTs and DIDs within Fabric is expected to enable more secure and efficient digital asset and identity management systems.
