ABSTRACT

The study aims at presenting the development and management strategies of programs and services for multicultural families in libraries. The study proposed the principles and directions for the multicultural services which fit into certain types of libraries. The study also stated that principles and directions of these services should be adopted under a national initiative framework. The study examined multicultural services in domestic libraries. The study analyzed them by patterns, and described service programs that were exemplary. The study intended to aid in finding the appropriate management strategies for muticultural services in Korean libraries in the future.
