AB - This study aims to discuss the necessity of providing welfare service information in public libraries, and to seek methods to efficiently collect, select, and provide welfare information. To conduct the research, literature review, case study, survey, and interview were conducted. It was revealed that 86.7% of the research participants agreed with the provision of welfare information in public libraries. Welfare information can be divided into four types according to the subject of production. The collection and selection of welfare information differs according to the four types of the information. Libraries provide welfare information with different components of the information depending on the types of the information and libraries. Welfare information is provided through the library homepage, and in this case, welfare information is posted on the homepage using the form of a web page and a bulletin board.
