Objective: A perianal abscess occurs when an infection develops in the perianal tissue, specifically the anal glands, leading to the formation of an abscess when bacteria proliferate excessively. Fistula refers to an abnormal connection between the anal glands and the perineum, signifying an inflammatory disease around the anal canal. A perianal abscess requires timely treatment; in most cases, treatment can be done on an outpatient basis. However, surgical treatment is necessary for extensive abscesses, followed by recommended follow-up observations. Case Report: This case study focuses on a woman in her 60s who experienced perianal abscess and anal fistula. The patient had a history of several surgeries, including a hysterectomy, hemorrhoidectomy (both internal and external), and fistulotomy, and she continued to experience pus-like discharge and persistent anal pain. Therefore, the patient was treated with Ortho-Cellular Nutrition Therapy (OCNT), utilizing anthocyanins, omega-3 fatty acids, psyllium extract, fermented soybean powder, yam powder, and Zizyphus jujuba Miller extract. As a result, there was a reduction in pus discharge and pain from the anus, and improvements were observed in symptoms of insomnia, anxiety, and restlessness. Conclusion: This case study confirmed that the patient's perianal abscess and fistula significantly improved with OCNT. Considering the patient's surgical history, specific conditions, and symptoms, prescribing an individualized OCNT is believed to be meaningful in improving symptoms. However, a limitation of this case is that it was applied to a single patient, and large-scale studies would be necessary to present objective indicators across multiple patients.

Objective: The kidneys are one of the vital organs in the human body, performing various functions. Their primary role is to maintain homeostasis through metabolic processes of filtration, reabsorption, and secretion within the nephron, the functional unit of the kidney. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is defined as a condition in which the glomerular filtration rate of the kidneys is less than 60 ml/min per 1.73 m² or when kidney damage persists for more than three months. This disease is associated with high incidence and mortality rates and requires substantial medical expenses. Therefore, early treatment is crucial, and diagnosis based on indicators that assess kidney function is essential. Case Report: This case study involves a Korean male in his 30s with impaired kidney function. The severity of his kidney indicators was confirmed through a health examination, and he experienced white coat hypertension, where blood pressure was measured higher than usual due to anxiety when visiting the hospital. If the patient's kidney indicators persisted, CKD could also be suspected. Therefore, after assessing the patient's health condition, Ortho-Cellular Nutrition Therapy (OCNT) was applied by prescribing anthocyanin, linolenic acid, and taurine. Conclusion: The patient reported that the levels of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) returned to the normal range. The improvement in the patient’s kidney health was confirmed through health examination results. However, as this study is based on a single patient case, there are limitations in applying the findings to all patients with kidney disease, indicating the need for large-scale studies.

Objective: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), first reported in Wuhan, China, is caused by the COVID-19 virus, which triggers acute respiratory symptoms. This virus spreads rapidly through droplets and contact, leading to a global pandemic. The disease presents a variety of symptoms, such as fever, chills, cough, and chest pain, and it can cause sequelae in multiple organs, potentially leading to chronic conditions. Therefore, research into management methods for this disease is urgently needed. Case Reports: The patient in this case is a woman in her 80s, after recovering from COVID-19, developed respiratory sequelae such as cough, phlegm, chest pain, and shortness of breath. Despite taking related medications, her symptoms did not improve, and the quality of her sleep was affected, leading to a decline in her overall quality of life. Therefore, Ortho-Cellular Nutrition Therapy (OCNT), which included anthocyanins, fucoidan, zinc, selenium, and polysaccharides, was prescribed along with lifestyle modifications. As a result, approximately three months later, the patient reported improvement in the symptoms that had caused discomfort, and her quality of life increased as she was able to sleep well. Conclusion: This case report confirms a significant improvement in the sequelae that occurred after the recovery from COVID-19, demonstrating that OCNT may help alleviate the patient's symptoms. However, this case has limitations as it was conducted on a single patient, and the improvement was only observed in respiratory sequelae. Therefore, future large-scale and multifaceted studies are needed to confirm and validate methods for alleviating these sequelae.
