ABSTRACT

119 Real-Time Locating Service has provided only for rescue in an emergency for about 8 years. However, the evaluation of that service doesn't come up to an increase in the demand. although it needs to improve regulations and methods for effective operating, there hasn't been so much effort to do. therefore, this study tried to research into ways of improving and then suggest the alternative solutions on the point at issues. First, it is necessary to specify practical use of Location Information in an emergency by privacy policy & law, and to expand range of the application of an emergency. Second, it is also necessary to encourage mobile telecommunications companies to improve mobile positioning technology which inform rescue team of more detailed areal positioning. Third, it can be useful to organize a special squad for the task such as call receipt & consultation, search & rescue. There have been few studies concerned with the provision of the Location Information in the field of the fire services although it became a crucial issue in company with tremendous development of mobile information technology.
