ABSTRACT

Recently, the percentage of Chinese students among foreign students studying in Korea is high. They have difficulty in consumption life in Korea due to difference in cultural or social environment. In particular, they experience disposal problem due to difficulty of playing the role of consumer as disposer in Korea since there exists difference in separate collection of wastes or recycling system between China and Korea. In this regard, this study aims to identify pro-environmental disposal intention and disposal behavior of Chinese student consumer in Korea and to present the plans to improve this. The following are the main results of analysis. First, Chinese student consumers in Korea recognized it very serious by recording the recognition level of environmental problem severity at 4.47(full marks of 5point). Second, the level of Pro-environmental disposal behavior of Chinese student consumer in Korea was moderate, absolutely not high so that they experienced difficulty in disposal. Third, pro-environmental disposal intention was found to be variable predicting the disposal behavior.
