ABSTRACT

This research examines the perception of citizens who live near the water basin of Han River on the importance of water usage by function such as domestic, industrial, agricultural and maintenance use, along with their satisfaction. The results showed that citizens recognized domestic and agricultural water usage more important than others. In regards to their satisfaction on performance, domestic and industrial water usage are considered more critical than others. The demographic characteristics such as sex and age are found to be a significant impact factor, which indicates potential for conflict among generations. Other impact factors include recognition on environmental and climate change issues. The more the person believes that environmental protection is beneficial to all, the higher recognition on importance and satisfaction on performance.
