This paper focus on the successful historical rectification. Historical rectification is a necessary process of a democratic reconstruction of life-world for the deepening democracy. Unfortunately, the fact that human rights and constitutional order violations occurred during the transitional periods the Japanese colonial rule and the Korean War. In addition to, the military-authoritarian government in the early 1960's∼1980's, which came into power via a coup d'etat, using a force as a means to catch power. A lot of people who advocated and fought for democracy against the illegal-government were killed and arrested in the process. Historical rectification is a revolution for democratic consolidation by correcting the past wrong political or social structure. In order to reconstruct democratic order in the life-world and civil society, this essay depends on Habermas's discursive democratic theory. However, the presuppose of dichotomy between system and life-world has a fundamental shortcomings. To a successful the project of historical rectification, I argue that life-world should be reconstruct democratically.

This study attempts to analyze various Internet collective action cases and explain the political possibility and implications in Korea. Using the logic of collective action and cooperation theory, this paper analyzes dynamism of cyber civil society and democratic development of Internet collective action. The case study showed that it contained various results. The Internet collective action has merits, as compared with traditional off line collective action. The Internet makes lower transaction cost for collective action and enlarges civil participation on political and social issues. Therefore the Internet collective action, caused by voluntary participation and cooperation, solves the dilemma of collective action, such as transaction cost, method of participation and free rider.

This article analyzes that social capital which is represented by trust, networks and social norms is accumulatively increased by interaction of residents' environmental movement on the case of movement against construction of water service reservoir in Mt. Sungmi(below Sungmisan movement). Sungmisan movement has background of life-community movement for 10 years and through this movement which could increase residents' voluntary participation and solidarity, they made a chance to develop to more advanced regional movement. During a series of process from life-community movement to residents' environmental movement, participants have increased mutual trust and networks, made social norms. Three groups are separated according to the level of taking part in life-community movement and Sungmisan movement and personal interviews and questionnaires on three conceptual elements of social capital to these three groups are made. This shows that the level of mutual trust, networks and social norms of participants of both life-community movement and sungmisan movement are higher than that of participants of only sungmisan movement and the level of social capital of participants of sungmisan movement are higer than that of common residents. This corroborates that the social capital which has been made through life-community movement was increased in the process of Sungmisan movement and identifies accumulative increase of social capital.
