The government, companies, and consumers are increasingly interested in realizing social values. Companies and citizens are actively realizing social values in the form of CSR, CSV, ESG, and social economy. Recently, various special lectures and academy courses have been opened for social value education received in Adulthood. In this context, this study examined the influence of an individual's social value orientation on prosocial behavior. Furthermore, it aimed to examine the indirect effects of social value education such as social economy education and ESG education received after adulthood. To this end, a moderated regression analysis was conducted with 684 survey responses from Seoul citizens. The results of the study showed that, first, social value orientation had a positive (+) effect on prosocial behavior. Second, social value education positively moderated the influence of social value orientation on prosocial behavior. In addition, it was found that when receiving social value education, an individual's social value orientation strengthened prosocial behavior. Based on this, the importance of social values was emphasized and policy and practical measures were suggested, such as establishing institutional devices for promoting social values, providing customized social value education, and encouraging specialized social value education.
