ABSTRACT

Chung-Ang University newly developed common liberal arts titled <Creative Thinking and Communication> and has been operating from the first semester of 2015. <Creative Thinking and Communication> is a program enabling students to set up key competences that society and the times need with creative thinking skills and active communication ability, and strengthen the competences. Through a variety of texts, main subjects of ‘artistic sensitivity’, ‘introspection on the human existence’ and ‘selection in social relations’. Those are condensed into three keywords of ‘song’-‘mirror’-‘dance’. In other words, the program is composed to make students feel the pleasure of self-immersion(flow), introspect self critically (creative thinking) and solve problem in a creative way through the experience of enjoying senses. As liberal arts for strengthening key competences, this thesis suggests an actual example of subject development by examining background of development of <Creative Thinking and Communication>, detailed contents of subject design and the process of textbook development.
