ABSTRACT

Objectives : Women can be affected psychologically and physically by pregnancy and delivery. Many Changes during the pregnancy and the delivery process lead to the deviation of pelvis and lumbosacral joint. It was investigated pelvic deviation and lumbosacral angle to know the changes of pelvis and lumbosacral joint according to delivery types, frequency and experience. Methods : 106 lying-in women and 33 unmarried women were evaluated by X-ray findings. All lying-in women divided into two groups according to delivery types and frequency. After measuring innominate measurment, off centering measurement, sacral ala measurement, ilium shadow measurement, width of symphysis pubis and lumbosacral angle, X-ray findings in each two lying-in women and nullipara group were analyzed statistically. Results and Conclusions : It was concluded that the width of symphysis pubis was more wider in normal delivery group than nullipara group. Lumbosacral angle was larger in multipara group than nullipara group, and in lying-in women group than nullipara group.
