AB - 本研究では、大学で開かれた講座『教養日本語』の受講生を対象にアンケート調査を行い、受講生の特徴を考察し、受講動機が授業満足度に及ぼす影響を探った。その結果、以下のことが明らかになった。
(1)大学の『教養日本語』の受講生の学習経験の有無を見ると、日本語を初めて習った人は34.1％(85名)であり、クラスの半数以上は既に日本語を習ったことがある。(2)『教養日本語』を選択した受講動機は様々であるが、「他の外国語に比べ短期間に習いやすいと思ったため(57名、22.9％)」と「日本語でコミュニケーションを取るため(55名、22.1％)」が最も多い。(3)受講生の性別、系列、学習経験の有無による授業満足度は統計的に有意差が認められないが、「学年による外的環境の満足度」と「受講動機による授業方法の満足度」は統計的に有意差が認められる。(4)「消極的動機群」と「積極的動機群」では授業満足度への影響に違いがあり、消極的な動機で勉強する受講生より積極的な動機で勉強する受講生の方の授業満足度が高い。
このような結果から「授業満足度」を効果的に向上させるためには、学期の初めに受講生の動機自体を把握する必要があると思われる。受講動機の実体が把握できれば、その構成状況により、積極的な動機群はその動機の維持と向上に、消極的な動機群は積極的な動機付けに力を注ぎ、授業満足度の向上を図ることができると考えられる。
