AB - Currently, public streetlight designs in cities are often simplistic and fail to reflect the unique characteristics of the urban environment. With Huangshan traditional cultural elements as the main elements of the design, combined with public street lights, this paper proposes a rational design scheme. For the purpose of research, it adopts the following research scheme and selects Hong village Scenic Area in Huangshan City, Anhui Province, China as the object of investigation. It investigates the concept and type of public street lamp design, grasps the existing problems, puts forward a reasonable basis and method. Firstly, it studies the design of public street lights that reflect the characteristics of Hong village to inherit the traditional culture of Huangshan. Secondly, based on the current situation of street lamps, it collects patterns, colors and modeling elements of traditional cultural elements of Huangshan, pro poses suitable design schemes through the investigation, the existing public street lamp design can not reflect the characteristics and cultural values of Huangshan. From the design cases, it puts forward the specific scheme suitable for the design of public street lamps.
