Results : Categories were 'fear of death in strange and deteriorated environment', 'conflict between departments and extra activity besides duty', 'interpersonal relationships', 'gender specific difficulties', and 'adaptation and retrospection'. Conclusion : A qualitative study using a phenomenological approach that give new insight into the experiences of deployed officers, in particular female officers, is useful as it allows a better understanding of the limitations of deployed officers.
