AB - Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of job stress, health promotion behavior and health status among the Korean female navy soldiers on warship. Method : This study was a cross-sectional survey design. The participants were recruited from different navy fleets located in Korea. The collected data was analysed using IBM SPSS/WIN version 21.0. Result : The mean score of job stress, health promotion behavior, and health status was 27.85, 2.37, and 1.66, respectively. The level of job stress was statistically significant in such categories as the ship classes (p=.021) and ship working period (p=.013). Job stress (r=-.58, p<.001) and health status (r=-.57, p<.001) were significantly correlated with the level of health promotion behaviors. Job stress was correlated with health status (r=.38, p<.001). Conclusion : The results of this study support that strategies and interventions considering the ship working period are necessary to decrease the level of job stress. Also, self-care promotion program and affordable medical resources should be provided for health of korean female navy soldiers on warship.
