AB - This essay explores the complex relationship between objects of art and architecture, and the networks within which they circulate. The concepts of platform and transitivity are adopted to describe how objects become networks, and exist within networks respectively.
The author argues that within networks, form is unstable and always changing so that what gives meaning is not the “content” of things, but rather their movement from place to place, and their transformation from one state to another.
