ABSTRACT

The purpose of this paper is to understand the signification and specificity of Latour’s political arts. Latour believed that contemporary society has the problem of an explosion of hybrid such as the climate crisis, the absence of thing politics, and extreme pluralism. To seek solutions, he found the master’s program called ‘a school of political arts.’ This school aims to create open and enlightened citizens capable of realizing the thing politics. It conducts various experiments combining art, science, and politics to compose a common world that can handle the climate crisis. Through concepts such as representation, ‘make sensible’, and aesthetics, political art argues that science, art, and politics are inextricably linked and that only through this collaborative system can true thing politics be realized.
