A Study on a Narrative System and a Reality of Audience <Happening in Bali> Kim, So-eun TV drama <Happening in Bali> was successable to have a reality of audience, composing another's story in melo-drama established. According to melo-drama's convention established, it fineded a new melo-drama's category and a new convention of genre, without disturbing audience's expectation and a level. It was able to use a familiar and unfamiliar method. In this drama, making a pathetic's hero than a pathetic hero go a head, and an antagonist, it was a strategic method to get a ‘new something’. Besides, in this drama, ‘romantic love’ was role to get a character's unhappiness, disagreeing with a melo-drama's established. Such a narrative system, for example, composition of character, romantic love's elimination and audio-visual's materials, is a strategic method to get a reality of audience. This narrative system makes able to reduce a distance of a audience and narrative world, and to get a reality of audience. It gets accomplished in a discourse level. In this drama, Irony is a “frame”. Irony is a method to make able to see in a contrast to a truth and looks. Without revealing a heroine's truth, it represent a contredictory condition of character to make see a truth, amplifying a audience's question. Irony roled to make do a audience's self-reflection, as a “frame” dividing a reality and fiction's category.
