<Read Sukyoungnangjajeon>, zenana area(Kewbang) of the center of the Joseon Dynasty which was the abode of a woman while crossing <Sukyoungnangjajeon> narrative and the daily landscape of the zenana women, attempted a modern variant of the Gososeol performance. <Read Sukyoungnangjajeon> borrowed for a modern audience to communicate with the following elements : the introduction of a play within a play, the maximizing of zenana space(Kewbang), using multi-faceted of poetry, song, dance, music, play. Borrowed these elements work, fill the empty space of the narrative is omitted, it could be a means to establish a connection between the traditional and the modern. It also represents the characters' emotions, and perform a variety of roles such as these repressed emotions that purifies. The Gososeol performance, together with the Pansori performance and Talchum performance represent the late Joseon period popular culture. Nevertheless, from the perspective of academic research and the field of applied theater work has not been made. Therefore <Read Sukyoungnangjajeon>, on the work of the current traditional plays accommodate Gososeol performances was pioneered new avenues Gososeol performance, to extend the area of modernization of traditional. As well as it could contribute to the expansion of the extension of the classical epic along with a former Sukhyang epic, Chunhyang epic, Shimchung epic.
