The Propaganda Strategy and Its Meaning of The Anticommunist Animation in South Korea

ABSTRACT

The anticommunism is important ideology in Korea society. In feature animation history, this is important, too. The anticommunist animation was formed for enlightment and propagada in late 1970’. The anticommunist animation is felt that audiences can meet real story with animation, so they agree that protagonist lost his family by communist of North Korea. It is very useful that audiences feel a sense of urgency and make a horror of communist of North Korea. After that, the anticommunist animation display the anticommunism of a solution that overcome a sense of urgency of communist of North Korea. In the anticommunist animation, the anticommunism is linked with humanism and related to the modernization unlike the communism, it is felt that the anticommunism is better than communism. In other words, these points proved the superiority of the anticommunism. Therefore, the anticommunist animation performed its duty of enlightenment and propaganda. The anticommunist animation was designed a kind of solution in economically difficult times of animation with receiving support from the government. The anticommunist animation showed the possibility of way of being by performing its duty of enlightenment and propaganda.
