A Study on the family discourse of Kim Suhyeon’s Family-dramas

ABSTRACT

This study begins with a problem posing about the ambivalence of patriarchy and anti-patriarchy in Kim Suhyeon’s Family-dramas. Specific Kim Suhyeon’s Family-dramas discussed in this study are the followings: Mom Got Angry, Life Is Beautiful, Childless Comfort . First, chapter Ⅱ analysis background, material, conflict of character. It was found that they appear both of patriarchy and anti-patriarchy. Above all, conflict resolution style of characters is noticed. The conflict of characters is sutured by name of 'family'. As a result, the conflict between patriarchy and anti-patriarchy is also collected with fantasy of 'family (affection)', not spread. By the way, family affection gets out society and ideology through overlapping with humanism. By cohabiting patriarchy and anti-patriarchy in Kim Suhyeon’s Family-dramas, it volatiles sense of social. It only leaves family romance of 'Kim Suhyeon’s styles' made lack and desire.
