ABSTRACT

This paper analyzed the EU's AI regulation, which was enacted for the first time in the world. The EU, which consists of 27 member states, takes the movement of personal information across borders very seriously in the digital realm. Accordingly, the EU has focused on securing preemptive regulations in the evolving technological field. The European Commission presented the first relevant legal framework to prepare for AI technology risks and enable Europe to play a leading role in the regulatory sector globally. The EU's first AI regulation will provide regulatory implications for other countries.
