AB - GajangSeojeokbu is the hand-written bibliography handed down to Dongchundang(同春堂) Song Jun Gil (宋浚吉, 1606-1672)'s descendants. Since the bibliographies of an individual's or a family's collection of books were rarely found, GajangSeojeokbu would be judged a very valuable research material. The purpose of this research is to explore the date of compiling GajangSeojeokbu and its compiler. In this research, the genealogy of Dongchundang's descendants is briefly introduced and the features and structure of GajangSeojeokbu is discussed. Also the details of the list are examined and finally its compilation date and the identity of its compiler are identified.The bibliography has a total of seventeen pages with one or two columns on each page. The contents were classified into five chapters: Naesajil(內賜秩), Gainjil(家印秩), Charaejil(借來秩), Bujilryu(不秩類) and Seocheopjil(書帖秩). Those chapters seem to be classified only to manage books with ease rather than to represent their contents. Naesajil and Gainjil were first made, while the rest were added later. Since the initial compilation of this bibliography, books were inspected two or three times. The compiler described basically the title and the number of volumes of each book, and briefly recorded the number of items, the edition statement, types of typography, existence of supplement reading, a calligraphic style of a title, the existence of a Chinese edition, the number of missing volumes, and the information about borrowers.It can be concluded that GajangSeojeokbu was first compiled by Song Jun Gil between 1668 and 1670. It is very likely that the original compiler added some details not long after the initial compilation. Therefore, this bibliography could be used to explore further the features of Song Jun Gil's collection, his reading habits, the distribution of knowledge, and the characteristics of the collections possessed by Seoin(西人) families.
