AB - Korean Translations of the Nogueldae is a basic reference material in Korean and Chinese language studies with huge value in the areas of Korean language history, colloquial language, and Chinese phonological history. Through this study, the publications of foreign language textbooks and Korean translations of Noguldae were reviewed with expectation to contribute to securing exact bibliographical details of the future studies. The results of analysis are as follows.
First, as a result of studies on the titles of Korean Translations of the Noguldae, it was found out that Beonyeonnogeoldae which are utilized by domestic researchers was more used than others, but about ⅓ of them do not have clear indication of titles, especially in utilization of Nogeuldaeunhae or Pyongyang verson of Noguldaeunhae.
Second, the study on domestically available Korean Translations of the Nogeoldae shows that Junggannogeuldaeunhae is more available than the other versions and overall, Kyujanggak has more versions than in other places.
Third, as a result of bibliographical characteristics of the version possesed by Kyujanggak, each of 4 types of Noguldaeunhae and 10 types of Junggannogeuldae by and large show simliarities in terms of contents and structure but there are slight differences within each of them seem to have occurred by the version possessors’ own marking or copying process.
The analysis of 1 type of Pyungyang version Noguldaeunhae proves that its cover title is Kugannogeoldaeunhae and its title of the beginning of the book is Nogeoldaunhae and Pyongankamyoungjungan exists in its record of publication. With these factors, it is called Nogeoldaeunhae, Pyungyang version Nogeoldaeunha, Kiyoung version Nogeodaeunhae or Kugannogeoldaeunhae, etc. respectively. And, depending on publication period, Noguldaeunhae and Pyungyang version Nogeoldaeunha are called ‘Hungjong version’ and ‘Yeongjo version’, respectively.
