AB - The purpose of this study is to determine the elements of the children’s book review that performs the role as a reading education material. The goal of children’s reading education is to raise critical reading ability. Therefore after grouping children’s book reviews into the descriptive review, interpretative review and critical review, their composed elements of each reviews has deduced. As the descriptive review describes the contents simply, it is suitable to make timely materials, such as newly published book list and recommended books in this month. The interpretative review and critical review briefly describe the contents, the scope, and the style of a book; they assess its quality critically, suggests its potential audience, and reflects the book reviewer’s opinions and assertions. Both reviews can be used for worthy reference materials in education of reading.
