This study gives a bibliographical contemplation on Imsilhyeonjunggichaek which was completed at Imsil-Hyeon, Jeolla Province in 1840. Out of the related items displayed at Imsil-Hyeon, materials from books, paper, and items from buddhist temples have been analyzed, based on the contents of the book. In addition to that, the research on features of the contents and descriptive system reveals the following facts. First, through thorough understandings of written time period of Imsilhyeonjunggichaek and records of then governor of Imsilhyeon (admistrative district of Chosun dynasty), the time period of the publication turned out to be January, 1840 (20th year of Chinese Dogwang Period), right after Imsil-Hyeon Governor, Jung Gi-Cheol was newly appointed in December, 1839. Second, The book provides a generally detailed system of its description and sophisticated contents. By putting sub-categories under a bigger category, it allows readers to understand the situation of management and administration by respective governors clearly. Third, Imsilhyeonjunggichaek contains higher percentage of publications and ‘Hoggujangjeok(records of family register)’compared to other items. Fourth, through the analysis of Jisosaek items in Imsilhyunjunggichaek, Imsilupji, historical materials, and bibliographic records, an interconnectedness between buddhist temples in Imsil-Hyeon area and paper manufacturing industry has been found, which as a result, revealing declines of paper industry of buddhist temple by 1800’s.
