ABSTRACT

This study examined the editions of Buddhist temples in Daegu. There are historical temples in the area of Palgongsan Mt. and Biseulsan Mt. in Daegu, but there are no studies on the history published here. There are 19 temples registered as traditional temples in Daegu. Among them, the published facts and the oldbooks are confirmed at four places: Donghwasa, Buinsa, Paekgasa, and Yongyeongsa. There are a total of 18 confirmed editions. The largest number of species was published in the Donghwasa Temple, and one of each of the remaining 3 temples was identified. It is very rare to keep oldbooks or wood blocks at the temple. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the cultural properties of each temple and to review the history of the temple through collection and preservation activities.
