ABSTRACT

The 382 copies 38% of the Kyojang-chonglok conducted by the Research Institute of the Tripitaka koreana was based on the overall investigation of all the transcribed books, board engraved books, and Tripitaka that were introduced from China and Japan. Of these, the publication records were confirmed were 76 copies 7.5%. As commentaries for published annotations Kyojang which was recorded in the Kyojang-chonglok have played a role in the mutual growth of Buddhist studies through the exchange and research of Buddhism and the mutual exchange between East Asian countries. Therefore, the increase of existing annotations ratio in East Asia can be seen as a meaningful achievement to support the completion of Kyojang.
